I know, I can't pick just one either

I guess my number one pick is Kitty Pryde. She has that spitfire attitude... not someone that you want to mess with...

Ronyell (rabbitearsblog) | 105 comments I have a lot of favorite characters, but my two most favorite characters are Colossus and Wolverine. I grew up watching Wolverine on the animated 90s and since then I've always loved his rough nature! Colossus is just a sweet heart and he can easily take down any enemy!

Travis (travishiltz) | 196 comments Hard to narrow it down and I will probably change my mind five seconds after I hit post, but I think I'll go with Beast.

Love his great, eccentric dialogue, that he's a genius without being shy or cold. Love all the great visual style of him, from his original appearance to his blue and furry version.

Love that he rarely gets grim and gritty or mopey. He has a lot of energy and sense of fun.

@ Ronyell - have you read Inferno? I haven't read that in quite a while, but enjoyed the story overall and what was going on with him and his sister in particular.
@ William - what path is Colossus going down?

I also don't like the path they are taking Colossus. Actually, I don't like the current path they are taking any of the X-Men. I actually wished they went back to the good old days of the X-Men.

I haven't read Inferno yet, even though I've heard some mixed opinions about it. I might actually check it out sometime!

Thanks William. And yes - bring back Nightcrawler! He's always been a favorite of mine as well... He's quite the contradiction, isn't he? Demonic and frightening on the outside, but actually religious, good, kind-hearted.

I didn't read that - I don't know that I want to? I prefer to read stories with him still alive - kind of in denial?

Well, at least it's not as bad as what's happening to Cyclops lately.

Nowadays, in comics everybody has to be Batman ( or since this is marvel: Wolverine).
No happy heroes, no happy relationships and tragic back stories for everyone!

Both Cyclops and Nightcrawler are two characters where this idea really hurt the characters, if not completely undermined the whole point of the character.

I can't believe they made Superman so edgy nowadays, although a lot of people kept complaining about Superman being so nice all the time, even though that's so essential to his character. The same is said about Cyclops being a boy scout in the early days and people complained about that also.

I agree with this! It seems like everyone is so dark and moody nowadays and it's starting to ruin so many characters.

Amanda I've always been a fan of Gambit because I enjoy his background stories (especially in The Tithing). I also like that he's an anti-hero without all the angst.

I really loved Gambit also! He's such a great anti hero!

Lisa (lisadannatt) | 211 comments I have two:

Jean Grey
The original female team member, phenomenal abilities. In the dark Phoenix saga she sacrifices herself to safe the others from an entity she cannot control. Gotta admire that. Cyclops does not deserve her

Gambit
He's such a Machiavellian charmer! Gets cool dialogue and cool powers. Walks a fine line between good and bad.

Travis (travishiltz) | 196 comments Been listening to the cerebro podcast, and every episode makes an X-character my new favorite.

They just did Dani Moonstar!
