Part 1 Chap 1: (view spoiler)[I have a feeling that I am going to have a hard time with this book.. it is not that this book is bad (I am enjoying it).. it is just the fact that I knew someone who did this to himself (hide spoiler)]

Part 1 Chap 9: (view spoiler)[Poor Miller! He loved Lacey so much! He couldn't stand her not knowing who he was.. I feel so bad for him. However, it wasn't the answer to end his life.. I know he wanted to end his pain. (hide spoiler)]

I don't think the Program wants them to hold things in. They're just to sacred of being taken. And that is kinda the Program's fault. I get that they wanna help and it seems that they are helping, but they need a better approach because the atmosphere of fear and anxiety is just making it worse.

This book is kind of depresseing in a way because of the heavy atmosphere.
(view spoiler)[And yeah, Sloane is quite dependent on James and he is also taking a lot of responsibility upon himself. They're all gonna at some point and even James's innovative therapy isn't going to save them. (hide spoiler)]

I have, finally, started reading The Program. I'm 13% in.

I like the worldbuilding, how closely the parents and the government are checking out the children just in case. I like the risks involved in the relationships of the characters. So far, it's all right.

With no intention whatsoever, I finished the book. I was just planning to turn a few pages before going to bed at around half past midnight, now it's three a.m. and I hardly realized the time.

All in all, I liked it. It was good to see her go through all those phases, and it was one hell of an epilogue. I"m definitely reading the sequel and the novellas. On the other hand, while I liked it, I didn't find it that great and I don't the mechanics, above everything else, was well thought of, so a 3/5 from me. I just might start the sequel in mere minutes.

They are slowly taking her memory of James, Miller and Brady. Realm seemed interesting, yet there is something off about him. OMG! He is working for The Program. Well, that just made me dislike his character. I like how the story keeps getting interesting. Now, I'm ready for part 3. (hide spoiler)]

Ending Thoughts: (view spoiler)[ I loved the story. It was interesting. I love that Lacey, Sloane, and James are now becoming friends again. I am sad that they can't remember Miller. (view spoiler)[ I loved how this was written, and how you could feel the loss of Brady, and then James, all around in Sloane's life. It makes the whole situation seem much more real. (hide spoiler)]

It starts with Sloane fighting to remember, and accepting abuse in order to save a memory, and then ends with her completely compliant, completely forgetting what made her want to fight in the first place. In the end, they took her sadness away, but also took a part of her away with it. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I loved seeing her return, and how hard it was to live life with so much empty spaces. While I still wish she hadn't had to go through the process, I'm glad I got to see the experience of going through the program first hand, and not just here Sloane's rather biased opinion of it like in Part 1. Also, I'm glad both James and Sloane had to go through the process (and still find each other again!!), as it gave us a firsthand experience of not only the process, but of seeing someone return from it and have them not remember you when you know everything about them. Chapter 7(view spoiler)[ in a world of an alarming rate of teenage suicide, why is there something called quick death???

Yesterday, not necessarily a great day to start this book, it was gloomy out, and this is definitely a gloomy book good but gloomy
