Does Rachel really deserve all this hate?

As a character, I prefer Rachel just a bit over Annabeth. She's far more interesting and relatable to her, and I think she's a great character with flaws and strengths. I really dislike it when people say she tried to get between Percabeth, because she does support it. See Battle of the Labyrinth: "Rachel drew another figure with her stick-an ashy Antaeus dangling from his chains."Annabeth's not usually like this," I told her. "I don't know what her problem is."Rachel raised her eyebrows. "Are you sure you don't know?""What do you mean?""Boys," she muttered. "Totally blind."" Also, when Rachel met Percy he and Annabeth hadn't even had their first kiss, needless started dating. People are placing their ship above their characters. I like how Rachel is sarcastic, funny, witty and artistic. She doesn't deserve all that hate.

Exactly! I love Rachel AND Annabeth!People don't have to like one or the other. People just hate her because she "gets in the way of Percabeth" rather than looking at her personality. I love Annabeth, as well, and I ship Percabeth to death, but that doesn't mean I hate Rachel. I mean she nailed The Lord of Time with a blue plastic hairbrush, :-)

I think a lot of fangirls just bash female characters who get in the way of their preferred ships no matter what.
Rachel didn't deserve squat. She's out of the running anyways since she's the oracle.

Rachel annoys me a little, but she doesn't deserve what she's getting. I mean, she's completely normal! And yet she does this awesome stuff! You know?
Nope. Rachel doesn't deserve any hate. She's witty, interesting, artistic, creative and fits into the demigod world perfectly. Without her we wouldn't have a Prophecy of Seven, and Percabeth would have been lost and died in the labyrinth. To be honest I didn't mind when she kissed Percy - I'm a proud multi-shipper so I like Perchel and Percabeth well enough.
I think people don't like Rachel because they compare her with Annabeth. And for the question, I don't think she deserves the hates.
I did go through a "hate Rachel" phase, but it was because of all the bizarre fan-fictions that I'd read. But as I reread the Riordan stories again, I like Rachael more and more, kind of like the Piper/Reyna controversy, but I won't bring that up for the sake of staying on topic (because I know we could go on forever about them).

I wanted to attack Rachel when she kissed Percy! Jump into the book, and tackle her! Or worse... tell Annabeth that Rachel kissed Percy! Then Rachel would really get it -.-

I have always liked the idea of Percy and Rachel, don't get me wrong...I love Percy and Annabeth, But I think Percy and Rachel are way cuter.
No she does not I mean come on we all have had crushes on percy before
Annabeth is way better, but I still liked Rachel, especially after she was the oracle. But the way she tried to get in the way of Percy and Annabeth's relationship...unforgivable!

Not at all! I agree, I was a little...on edge when that kiss happened and Honestly, I was more mad at Percy than Rachel but after I was down fuming and even while, I never hated Rachel. She's awesome, funny and super cool! ^-^
I loved Rachel. She was artsy and super cool. Despite being mortal she fit in this world perfectly. I mean she hit the Titan lord in the eye with a blue plastic hairbrush.I'm a die hard percabeth shipper and I don't like with Percy. But she is an awesome Oracle.
I like Rachel, i just didnt think she and Percy fit as a couple like Annabeth and Percy did... I would never hate on her and i don't know why people do because [she didnt even end up with Percy and Annabeth did, and she pretty much left the storyline once the new series started]
I knew from the start Annabeth would end up with Percy, so I didn't mind Rachel at all. In fact, I would go as far as to say she's my favourite character...
No. I think that most people don't like her because there was a time when Percy liked her and she liked him. But it is not like they became a couple in the end. That was Annabeth and Percy. No I didn't like how she kissed him but in a little over a week she became the oracle and a maiden so she didn't get in the way and her and annabeth became good friends.
i definitely prefer annabeth but does rachel didn't deserve any hate. she was still a good character i just would have been super angry if she had ended up with percy.
I never hated Rachel, I mean I knew Percy was going to end up with Annabeth so I didn't mind Rachel and Percy's little...whatever it was. I certainly didn't like it, but I like Rachel as a character and didn't let her crush on Percy cloud my judgement.
I never hated her. I liked her and I always believed Percy and Annabeth were endgame so, why Hate Rachel for planting one of Percy when he was so going to end up with Annabeth either way?

I really like Rachel! I didn't like her very much when she kissed Percy... but she really is a fun and lovable character!
Not at all. Rachel didn't deserve ANY of the hate she got cause' I think she's an amazing character! In fact, (don't kick me please) I like her more than Annabeth!
Annabeth is wayyy better! When Rachel kissed Percy I wanted to go into the book and attack her -_-
