D Cox Awesome book. I think there is a bit in the middle where it suddenly slows a little into mundane Parisian life. But stick with it and pay attention.
I thought it would take me ages to read but it flies by. One of my favourite books!

David Forrest I read this book in high school and again a few years ago. Definitely one of my top five favorite books.

Ken W Dawn I totally agree about the middle slowing down.... Other than that 5 stars.

Subramanian (vagrant71) It's a big book by any standard with all kinds of characters and many twists and turns. Modern-day thriller writers better read this classic. Dumas is a past master of this genre.

Steve mitchell | 51 comments I thought the best part was the vengeance V love angle, which is a stronger motivating factor? Which will win out?

Linda Mahkovec (lindamahkovec) | 3 comments I read this years ago - but it's one of those books that stays with you.
