Awesome book. I think there is a bit in the middle where it suddenly slows a little into mundane Parisian life. But stick with it and pay attention. I thought it would take me ages to read but it flies by. One of my favourite books!
I read this book in high school and again a few years ago. Definitely one of my top five favorite books.
It's a big book by any standard with all kinds of characters and many twists and turns. Modern-day thriller writers better read this classic. Dumas is a past master of this genre.
I thought the best part was the vengeance V love angle, which is a stronger motivating factor? Which will win out?
