I don't remember very much about this book. I remember a woman gets off a boat and becomes a whore. A man sees her and falls in love with her. He pays her for her time so she won't have to work but she doesn't love him. She does love him by the end. I believe she has red hair, but I don't remember what it is called. It could be any number of books, I know this isn't exactly a unique storyline. I don't even remember her name.
