So, I finally finished the Host, and even though it doesn't technically belong in this group, I thought I'd make a discussion on it.

I love Ian too, I like to think that in some alternate reality, Ian and Emmett were brothers...

They are by the same author and you are comparing the two books... of course it belongs here...

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay. First of all, I loved how different they were.
Things I noticed:
1.Two girls, one inside the other, two guys, it all works out.
2. Themes of sacrifice

I loved Ian. of course you all knew that. I wish I was Wanda. *whimpers* I want that non-platonic kissing. Oh and the fire/ice eyes. Yeah, got to get me some of that. Am I boring anyone?

Heather (eastgirl2010) | 122 comments Who is overwelmed...I ador ( how do you spell that) the randomness. It is so refreshing, the rest of the world is so unrandom so perdictable but here it is ok to be as random as i want/need.

Good thing you have me... how could you bore us?? If you did... we would just stop reading...

I loved the Host. It was just as good as all the Twilight books put together!

It was really good. I'm re-re-reading it. I hope that makes sense.

message 14: by Lavanya (new)

Lavanya Yes, The Host is really amazing. Stephenie Meyer's writing really improved in this one.

She really needs to write more. I wish she would do a sequel for it.

The Host was especially good... I think it was the vocabulary... she didn't have to limit it... does that make any sense... I am writing slightly tired so it makes sense to me....

I didn't pick up any adult language. But she did so well.

I don't know... the language for the Host to me was a little more advanced but that might just be my craziness talking....

message 19: by Autumn, Judge and Founder (most active Fanpire) (new)

Autumn (abmort93) | 1596 comments Mod
Well, it seems her vocab was broader.

That's what I meant... it was like she wasn't trying to write for an older audience....
