This is for people who are despairing of ever finding a good, clean, exciting mainstream novel, who need some help finding some good books. Anyone who knows of any good books that you don't think anyone could find offensive, post away!

Here are some suggestions off the top of my head:
Anything by Margaret Peterson Haddix. Literally anything. Try starting with Double Identity.

Gordon Korman's No More Dead Dogs

If you like murder mysteries, the best are all by Agatha Christie. She has some pretty vulgar ones mixed in with the fine rest of them, so I would start with Murder on the Orient Express. Warning, it is a tad violent (describing how a murder was accomplished, in retrospect - so not too bad).

I really enjoyed The Heritage of Lancaster County by Beverly Lewis, Pleasant Valley series by Marta Perry and the Love Finds You in series.
