I couldn't find any sign that there was a different version so it is gone.

A note on a website about the availability of a book needs to be treated with a certain amount of caution. The note could be wrong. The note might be correct NOW but there could have been many epub editions available on other sites which might have just been withdrawn or might in fact still be available. Obviously, in that case and many other cases, we would keep the non-Amazon edition. You need to do some research on the subject before posting here as a fait accompli.
