Bridget (bridget224) | 66 comments Hi everyone, once again I am here bugging you with my questions! This summer I am supposed to read a book for school, and of the options given only two stood out: Unwind by Neal Shusterman and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I know both books have received great reviews and I am unsure which I should pick. I want to read Unwind but I'm definitely not the horror-book type. But I want to read it because I am into the dystopia genre. Is Unwind considered a horror book? And Fahrenheit 451 sounds interesting but I'm sort of leaning toward Unwind. Please let me know if Unwind is going to make me too squeamish or something, or if Fahrenheit 451 is better? Thanks!

M.E. I really liked Fahrenheit 451. I haven't read Unwind yet so I can't say if one book is better than the other. Usually if I am trying to decide which book to read, I go with which ever strikes me in the moment.

Melissa (missams) | 59 comments I have not read Unwind, however I have read Fahrenheit 451, and I have enjoyed it. From what I remember, there is nothing squeamish or horror to the book.

I have to agree with Lilly, I would pick the book that strikes me the most.

Jodi (readinbooks) I read both books this summer and LOVED them both! Unwind is not scary, there was one scene that was a bit disturbing. It just depends on whether you want YA or adult. I really like Fahrenheit 451 too. Loved them both for different reasons.

Michael (lovechild) | 280 comments Fahrenheit 451 is short and it is still so timely. We live in a world where everything we send can be read, analyzed, used against you. We also don't seem to care and see it as someone else problem. 451 show to extreme how this form of thinking and not wanting to think is true danger. I read it earlier this year over a weekend. For me it one of my all time favorite now.
