Family history: The NightLights where a powerful family. They have always been high in the Clave. The entire family line was always very caring and compassionate people. That's what they were known for. They were also very wealthy and owned their own manor right outside of Alicante. Once her mom was going through her training she meet the love of her life. James NightFire which to her was a funny coincidence since their names were completely opposites, and that didn't stop Skylar's mom from falling madly in love with the "bad boy" of the group. Once falling madly in love they of course got married, and everything seemed fine till one day Skylar's mom disappeared. Her Parabatai thought something was weird, and went to the manor one day to find the entire thing up in flames. Skylar's father was no where to be found, but she heard little baby Skylar crying inside she rushed inside, and picked little Skylar up. She brought her to London to an adoption center. She needed to get the girl out of that life. Especially knowing that her father might still be alive, and responsible for her mothers death. Once Skylar got adopted by the Whites a normal Mundane family in New York Skylars moms Parabatai would send a warlock out to New York every once and a few years to erase her mind. The Whites are a very protective family over Skylar. She has to be involved in sports, and get good grades.
History of the Character: As seen above Skylar's family Manor blew into flames killing every family member that was in there. Which her moms Parabatai still thinks her father lurks this world. She was adopted From London by a Family called the Whites that Live in New York City. She has been raised very strictly, but she does sneak out every once in a while to have fun. rarely. She's been in the swim team since she could remember, and she is on her snowboarding team too. She is still in high school, and has no idea about her true identity.

Personality: Skylar is very compassionate just like her true family. She loves her friends, and her adoptive family, but it is hard for her to trust anyone else. She has trust issues. She is very curious, and witty when she wants to be. She can be stubborn, and brave. She is a straight A student. Courageous, and outgoing. She is very clumsy, but when she swims and snowboards she is gracious. Her shadowhunter abilities come out during her sports. She is very laid back, it is very hard to push her buttons, but when someone does she is vicious. She smiles a lot, and loves to read. Of course she has a huge imagination... probably due to her true identity.

Family History: By blood, Susan is a Shadowhunter, but she would never say it is true. She has no love for the Nephilim and many of them have no love for her either. She is from a long line of Stormways, a family that is of superior blood even among Shadowhunters since they had faerie blood in their veins, resulting in a higher concentration of angel blood running with in them. Her family was often looked to for protection due to their great power. However, the Clave began to expect more and more of the family as the generations went on and their was little room for flaw with the Stormways.
When Susan and her twin brother were infants, their was a massive demon attack and many were killed. Her parents had done everything they could to assist in the battle, but there was too much for even them to handle. In the end, the demons were defeated, but not without casualties. Shadowhunters began to blame the Stormways for the deaths of their loved ones, even though they themselves were just as guilty for their deaths.
The nephilim began to believe that their faerie heritage didn't just give them more angel blood, but gave them demon blood as well. It was rumored that the family had sided with the demons, that they were corrupt by the black blood running in their veins, no matter how diluted it was. A gathering of enraged, grief-stricken Shadowhunters led an attack against the family, believing they needed to be put to death so they would no longer endanger the lives of others. Not wanting to have to fight off the people they had fought beside for their entire lives, Susan's parents took her and her brother into hiding and are still hunted by their kin to this day.
History of the Character: Over the years, Susan has lived with her family in Andorra, Italy, Greece, Ireland, England and Germany. Each move is made in effort to stay hidden. Once her parents feel that they have stayed too long in one play, bags are packed and they start a new life hundreds of miles away without so much as a glance back. The Stormways always stick together. Because of this, the only true friend Susan has ever had was her brother Leo. The two of them were inseparable, partly for protection, but also because they usually couldn't bare to be away from each other.
Specialty and weapon of choice: Rapier, which has been passed down through her family and had been given to her after her father was murdered; When Susan fights, she fights to kill so she doesn't waist much time to dispatch her opponent. Her first move is to stun her opponent before going for a vital area to finish them off.
Appearance:
Personality: Depending on who, or rather what you are, Susan has some different sides to her. Having lived among mundanes for most of her life, she is as friendly as she can be with people who she can't ever really connect with. She feels most comfortable with downworlders, who are usually the most trustworthy and she is able to reveal more about herself and form strong relationships. Shadowhunters, however, are only met with a cold hostility. You endanger her family, you end up with a knife in your back. Susan is generally an over all kind person, smart and well rounded, but she finds it hard to trust just about anyone.
Crush: None, but is open if someone wants to take their chances with her ^_^
Other: She is proud of her abilities to take down an opponent with ease, but one event in her past makes her fear what she can do.

Personality: Jaze is a lovable girl. She can be shy when around someone new, but if she decides the person is okay, she opens up quickly. When someone insults her, she either ignores it and takes it silently, or she gets a backbone and throws some words back at the jerk. She can go from having fun and hanging out, to being a Shadowhunter within' a minute. She's a very easy going girl.

Brief history: Jaze's mother died when she was born. Her father was heartbroken, but managed to keep it together so he could raise her. He was a good dad, one that most kids would have fun with. But he couldn't support her very long.
When she was eight, her dad got a call from the bank. He didn't have the money he needed to raise his child. Jaze turned into a foster kid and remained that way until she was fifteen.
At fifteen-years-old, a man walked into the foster home and adopted her. But something was off about him. She told the lady her suspicion and swore that the man wasn't a man. But the lady didn't listen and Jaze ended up walking out with a new dad.
A dad who dragged her into an alley and tried to kill her. The man was a demon. It went on and on about how she was a little old not to know her Shadowhunter parentage. Apparently, her mother was an exiled Shadowhunter from Idris. Jaze tried to trick the demon into telling her why her mother was exiled, but it wasn't that stupid.
In the end, she didn't kill it since she didn't have a weapon to. Instead, the cops drove by and noticed a man attacking a teen girl. They pulled over and tried to arrest him, but the demon simply growled before it scaled the side of a building and vanished.
Jaze got a scar from that demon, one that runs diagonally across her back, from her shoulder to her waist. She now lives at the Institute with the Lightwoods. No one knows that her mother was exiled.

Family history: The Dazendale's have always been a quiet bunch. They started out in Alicante like anyone else, but slowly moved to Rome. They wanted to live where no one could really bug them. In time, their son, Roman, moved away from his family to get better Shadowhunter training.
History of the Character: Roman has had a boring life on the countryside of Rome. He wanted to get out of his small family. They were controlling him, and his father even said that he shouldn't be a Shadowhunter. Roman really wanted to be one, so he ran away from home. He slowly made his way to the Institute in New York.
Specialty and weapon of choice: Seraph blades (he hasn't had much training with anything else) and he is good at disappearing and silent movement. You never know he's there.

Family History:A line of Shadowhunter who are considered one of the best family line of Shadowhunters. The Sapphirestones are relatives of the Herondales. They also have always worked close with the clave and never break the laws of the clave. They also have always believed strongly in the accords sign by shadowhunters and downworlders of each species.
Character History:Lily grew up in the Chicago institute with her parents as the head of the institute and her younger sisters Zoey and her older sister Alexandra(Alex). She also lives with her bestfriends Kaitlyn and Sky and their families. Kaitlyn's family entails her mom dad and her older brother Nathaniel(Nate). Sky includes her mom dad and younger brother Tommy. Despite Lily's family reputation she doesn't always follow the rules. She acts on impulse and thinks/deals with the consequences later. She is use to being told what to do and then not doing it. Lily likes to make her own decisions not let people make them for her. She is also use to how everyone except her friends expect her to be. They have high expectations and disapprove of a lot of things she does. She always been considered a fine Shadowhunter but no were near as good as her older sister parents or other generations of Sapphirestones and Herondales. Her mother was killed by a demon when she was 10 years old.

Personality:Lily has always been a head strong girl who loves to do things her way. She is brave and fierce and always ready for any mission throw her way. She loves telling jokes and being sarcastic and funny. She is also very loyal and loving to the people who mean the most to her. Choice Weapon:Lily's favorite weapon to use in battle is her golden whip she got from her parents when she first started training to be a shadowhunter.
Speciality:Lily is best at hand to hand combat and is really fast and is great at making runes.

Family history:The Blacknight family is one of the original shadowhunter families. Since the first Blacknight they have always ran the Romanian institute. Vincent's father Jonathan had always been an outstanding shadowhunter following the rules and protecting mundanes. At the age of 16 he fell in love with Vincent's mother Katie Goldenstar and two years later at 18 they got married, and a year later Vincent was born.
History of the Character:Vincent was born and raised in Romania at the Romanian institute with his parents and younger sister Talia. Vincent was always getting into to fights with downworlders and not following the rules so he was sent to the New York institute in hopes of this changing. The fighting started right after his father was killed by a vampire one night when he was 15. The vampires had also almost killed Talia that night but she'd gotten away but with a scar on the side of her neck as a reminder of that night.
Choice Weapon:Vincent's favorite weapon to use in battle is a double edged sword he got from his dad when he turned 14.
Speciality:Vincent is best at sword fighting especially with his double edged sword.

Personality: Vincent is very stubborn, witty, and sarcastic. He loves to get himself in dangerous situations, and he loves attention but he will never admit to it. He is cocky. He keeps this calm controlled barrier. On the inside he is very kind, and caring but only one person his sister Talia knows that side of him. His brave, and likes trouble. Rebel. Smokes, and drinks. His a flirt, and his is well known for using girls for his benefits.

Family history: Nick was orphaned at a young age left only with his sister as family. His sister took on the responsibility of keeping him safe but it didn't work all that well when she became unable to fight due to an injury. He grew up fast with the reputation of his family being worshiped for the stragetic fighting level. His ring on his index is his family ring which he inherited at a young age. The ring is sterling silver with air dragons, which are to suppose signify wisdom, branded arounded the ring with a red jewel in the center, meaning passion and loyalty to shadowhunters.
History of the Character: He lived in some institutes and he is known as a lonely wanderer. Nick seems to understand thhat whoever he loves he can bring them danger even if they are shadowhunters themselves.
Specialty and weapon of choice: daggers and he is good with runes and strategizing on missions.

Family history: Alex's parents were both renowned shadowhunters who met and fell in love in Idris. When Alex was 12 months old, his mother Lucinda Bane was brutally murdered by a rogue vampire. His father, Erik Wolf had a meltdown and, against the wishes of the clave, attacked and slaughtered the leader of the vampire clan, having blamed him for the rogue vampire. He then quit the shadowhunter life and took Alex away to New York, living in exile from the shadow world.
History of the Character: Alex Wolfbane grew up with a very weak father who spent most of his days drinking scotch and locked up in his room. He was lucky his family was wealthy at least so that his father was able to hire a maid and nanny to raise and take care of Alex. Despite the nanny, he grew up pretty self-sufficiently. When he was 12 years old, the shadowhunters tracked Alex down and offered him to stay at the New York Institute, telling him about his Angelic blood and his destiny and duty to the human race. Alex was only to thrilled to go along, and though he finally understood why his father was an alcoholic, he was still saddened by the weakness he displayed and his lack of desire to continue protecting the world.

Personality: In spite of his father's weakness, Alex grew up quite strong hearted and loyal to the shadowhunters and to his duty. He trained hard every day, with the will to never give up. He is good hearted, good natured, and his mother's death only helped him to realize that his duty to protect the world is so important. He loves animals and only agreed to go to the institute if he was allowed to bring his husky, Shay, with him.

Other: has a habit of chewing on cinnamon sticks when in deep thought or after a meal to cleanse his palette. He doesnt like a lot of sweets and enjoys the taste of the bitter spice.

Family history: the hawthornes are a lesser known shadowhunter family, only coming as back up for the Clave. Her father died in a demon hunt and her mother died years after of altzheimers disease. Her ancestors were never the best shadowhunters but Rose wants to change that.
History of character: Rose had a quiet childhood for the most part. Her parents told her about shadowhunters and got her runes and a stele when she was 10, but never spoke of it after that. She trained herself, wanting to be good.
Specialty and weapon of choice: specialties: like Isabelle Lightwood, she seduces demons to her then brings on the attack. She is also very good at drawing runes. Her weapon of choice is her fathers prized seraph blades.
Personality: rose is a reserved but caring girl, and kind to others. She's never had close friends because she's too busy training, and never had the time to get to know anyone. She's also a little shy around others, and even though she's seductive to demons she's the complete opposite to shadowhunters. She's what you would call a nerd, but it's in a cute way. She's funny and has a great laugh and is fun to be around.
Appearance: ((I'll add a pic when I can)) Rose has long dark blonde hair that she keeps in a braid most of the time, big bright blue eyes and freckles across her cheeks and nose. She has full lips and a pretty face, long lean legs and a pretty body. She has nice hips and chest but she hides it all a lot. She's also very pale because she can't tan that well.

Family history: the Knightwoods aren't an extremely well known family but have had their good and bad moments with the Clave. Calla's father especially was a bit of a rebel but one of their best warriors until he died in a battle with a greater demon. Her mother on the other hand is a very good healer and Calla took some of both, now being a good healer and warrior.
History of character: Calla was raised with both her parents, learning to fight and heal from both. She's very good and knows a lot of strategies but after what happened to her father she hopes that she doesn't need to use them much. She grew up in a small farmhouse on the edge of New York and moved in at the Institute once her mother died of post-trauma depression.
Specialty and weapon of choice: her weapon of choice is her silver whip she found in her mothers room once, and her specialties are fighting and healing
Appearance: Calla has light brown hair, a little past her shoulders. She has blue-green sparkling eyes that if you look close enough in you can see gold flecks. She has freckles across her nose and cheeks, full lips and a nice toned body with good assets. She's a bit pale but has a nice tan in her legs

Aaron's History: When Aaron and his Twin-Sister was born everything fell apart. Aaron's father fell in love with a Downworlder, and unknowingly brought a cursed child into the world. Because Aaron's mother was a Demon, he became half-Shadowhunter, half-Warlock. Because of his fathers actions, the Clave disowned the BlackWing family, and burned their home to the ground. Aaron's parents fled Indris and hid in New York. They found a sanctuary and hid there. Aaron was completely hidden from the Magical world, and had his sight token away by his mother. When he was 6 his twin-sister was killed by greater Demon. His mother took away
any memory he had of her. On Aaron's 16th birthday, he was attacked by a group of Forsaken, he killed them unknowingly, using a dark form of magic. When he came home, his parents told him everything, and sent him to the Institute. He ran away soon after he learned of his demonic blood.
Speciality and Weapon: Aaron has 2 knives, one longer than the other. He can quickly use them to disarm an opponent, and fights to kill. He never holds back when he fights. Being part Warlock, he can use magic, though he barely uses it.
Appearance: Aaron is moderately tall, 6'3 and tan. He is very muscular. He has short scruffy obsidian black hair and his left ear is pierced. He usually wears black skinny jeans, a dark purple t-shirt and a leather jacket. He is extremely handsome and dislikes being center of attention. His eye color is a deep shade of purple, so dark it looks black.
Personality: Aaron is a bit rude and hot-headed. Once you get to know him, he turns out to be a really nice and loving person.
