5th Grave > Chapter 20 - I came into the world covered in someone else's blood and screaming. I'm not afraid to leave it the same way.

Wow, just wow. This chapter was so intense and so well written that I bow to Darynda. The emotion that was put into writing Charley's reaction to the almost rape and Uncle Bob finding and rescuing her was gut wrenching. The sweetness of Reyes taking care of her and bathing her when she returned to the apartment and finally all of the mass grave victims passing thru Charley had me teary-eyed the whole way thru. What did you think of all of the above?!?

That scene reminded me of "Out of Africa" when Robert Redford washes Meryl Streep's hair. So simple and yet so intimate. I didn't cry when the women passed through Charley to help her heal, but I ended up with a lost tear. So much raw emotion, but above all love and caring. Great, great chapter.
