I am currently reading I Am Legend as I just have finished the main story. I read a copy of the main story back in 2008, but I have not read any of the other books in the collection.

Yes, that book does stand up well, unlike so much I read as a kid. (Tom Corbet Space Cadet) Azimov wrote well, good clean prose. His nonfiction is also quite readable and understandable. I read lots of that also when I was young. Maybe I should revisit those books.

Hi I'm Ugur (Uğur) from Istanbul, Turkey.I've started reading fantasy and sci-fi as a child, but they were mostly classics like Gulliver's Travels, Jules Verne's books etc.
When I was 17 I met with, Dragonlance, Shannara, LOTR & Hobbit and Belgariad and I could not give up fantasy.
My favorite genre is fantasy fiction, and prefer heroic, epic and high fantasy.
My favorite authors are; (not ordered)
- George R.R. Martin
- David Eddings
- Robin Hobb
- R.A. Salvatore
- Margaret Weis
- J.R.R. Tolkien
- Robert Jordan
Recent favorite authors;
- Michael J. Sullivan
- Mark Lawrence
Probably there would be more authors if I've a chance to read...
Merhaba, Uğur. I've just started learning Turkish! Do you know of any Turkish authors that write sci-fi or fantasy? :)

I'm starting The Prestige for an upcoming episode of SFF Audio. Brief whine- it seems only to be available as mass market, no eBooks even, and I just hate reading Mm paperbacks. /end whineI also got a review copy of MaddAddam by Margaret Atwood on audio and I'm so excited wooooooooooohoo.

Now I checked my library if there is any sci-fi turkish but there is no:)
You can check my library for turkish fantasy books, but I'm not sure if any of them is translated to English.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Simon Vance. It was so boring.
Just started The Ghost Brigades by John Scalzi. I loved Old Man's War so I was really looking forward to The Ghost Brigades. A little disappointed so far but I trust Scalzi to crank up the action and characterization soon (I'm only 25% through it so far).
After liking Perdido Street Station so much, I'm now reading The Scar and next I'll read the Kickstarter-backed The Hogben Chronicles that just came out.

I liked it but less for the plot and more for Flynn's style of writing. I was pull in from page 1 and wanted to read about the characters. Didn't like the ending though.
