Scrub a toilet as i have never cleaned a barn but i think that would be like cleaning one giant toilet bowl.

message 427: by Bigollo (last edited Oct 08, 2015 06:01PM) (new)

Bigollo This is a tough one. I assume only fiction books are implied in the question. I'd rather go with the genre. Do I get to define the genre? If I define it Philosophical Fiction, then it becomes very broad and I like it:).

Are you more productive to read on a train or on a beach?

message 428: by Margo (new)

Margo Snow day!! Big fire, mug of hot chocolate, good book = heaven.

WYR science fiction of science fantasy?

message 429: by Bigollo (last edited Oct 09, 2015 01:14PM) (new)

message 431: by Bigollo (new)

Bigollo The prehistoric past.
I'm curious, but not that curious.

WYR be what you are or be what you wish?

message 432: by Bigollo (new)

Bigollo To move to new places at least once a year would be a dream of a poet. My ideal too. Only in reality, I wish money weren't an issue for such a life style..

A labor camp. You're in for three months.
WYR be felling trees for ten hours a day six days a week or cook for a hundred of your fellow prisoners three meals a day every day?

Tree feller. At least I'd get to work outdoors. Couldn't bear to do slaving over a hot stove day after day. Think the other inmates would agree after they tasted my cooking!

WYR be a planet or a star?

message 434: by Bigollo (new)

Bigollo A planet.
Hey, with some luck I could give birth to life some day!
At least I would have some interesting (molecular!) structures here and there. As for a star, forget molecules, in its core there are not even real atoms! Just nuclei and electrons bouncing around separated! Very primitive.
OK. Maybe I am not very bright and jealous.

WYR sleep most of the time without any dreams (at least not remember them) or have a 50/50 chance of a good dream or a nightmare every night?

message 435: by Margo (new)

WYR have the ability to return to a younger age or develop a new talent you didn't have before?"

That's a tough one. Thinking............

message 436: by Bigollo (last edited Oct 19, 2015 02:03PM) (new)

Bigollo While Margo thinking I'll give my answer:)

And it is the ability of developing a new talent.

Something's telling me that if I go back to a younger age, I'll most likely retrace my old steps. It might create even more frustration. But to develop a new talent - that's a gift (in the sense that you can't produce it out of yourself), and I'll take it.

WYR spend a day in the eye of an eagle or on the back of a bee?

I like your reasoning Bigollo! Sorry, started thinking n then got bizzy with other stuff.

It would have to be the eye of the eagle. Much better veiw from those heights. Might have some control over what direction the flight takes as opposed to just being a passanger. Also I get terrible hayfever!

WYR win the nobel prize or save someone from drowning?

message 438: by Bigollo (last edited Oct 20, 2015 02:15PM) (new)

Bigollo Oh! If I saved someone from drowning, I would be proud for the rest of my life. (Of course, deep inside, I am plain vain and would be even more proud if the person I saved eventually won the noble prize:) )

You are about to start learning your first foreign language for no particular practical reason.

WYR pick a language closest to your mother tongue or a linguistically distant language?

Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Jenn Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Schu (jennschureviews) Distant language

WYR work at a cheese shop or a vineyard?

message 440: by Bigollo (new)

Bigollo Both places sound nice to work at. I'd choose a vineyard to be more outdoor. They say where there are vineyards there is the best climate on Earth:).

message 443: by Bigollo (new)

Which mind distorts the reality more: The mind somewhat cheerful or the mind slightly depressed?

Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Jenn Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Schu (jennschureviews) I'd say depressed.

WYR be stuck on a desert island with access to a book in a language you can't read or a book written in your native language locked in a rusted box?

message 445: by Bigollo (new)

Bigollo Far north. A painfully slow change is better than deadly no change at all. As for cold, there is always warm clothes. As for dark, there is electric light.

You are sentenced to listening to same type of music for eight hrs non-stop (you did smthng really nasty).

Would it be Metallica or big band?

message 446: by [deleted user] (new)

Cook full meals for a month

Eat all the time, but skinny and always hungry, or never eat but be fat and always full?

message 447: by Bigollo (last edited Nov 04, 2015 11:59AM) (new)

Bigollo I'd go for the latter. Saves time, money. Reduces suffering (no hunger). As for the fat, deep inside, I'm sure, I'll find a way to trick the fate and burn the fat.

WYR slightly extend your vision spectrum into the ultraviolet zone or infrared one?

message 448: by Bigollo (new)

Bigollo I would love to have my partner cook breakfast for me. Provided she were happy about that, of course:). If I had one:(.
So far, every morning, I hectically stuff my mouth with one hand and my work bag with another.

Do you believe in love at first sight (and you're certain that it happens all the time)?
or
do you believe love requires one's choice, active engagement, and time among other things?
