I have been in love with Eric since I read Dead to the World. I accept no one else. Bill is so lame in the show it's ridiculous!!!! Sorry everyone who loves him. Nothing personal just bad cheesy acting!!!!

Sam would be the best option if Sookie wanted children. I think Eric would be great otherwise, as long as he can respect her wish to remain human and love her still even when she grows old.
1. Eric - because he's the most passionate2. Sam - because it would be a simpler relationship
3. Quinn - because they hit it off really good
4. Alcide - in 4th because he's the pack leader now...
Alcide is interesting, but it bothers me how he's treated Sookie in the past.
An example is when Alcide wanted Sookie's help for his father to gain the pack leader position. He wasn't truthful at first during the ceremony (first time she also saw Quinn). Then after his father died, Alcide pretty much ignored Sookie for months and dated Marie-Starr instead.
He also refused to believe her about Debbie at all, even though he knew what type of woman she was. It also bothers me that he seems to only contact her when he needs something.

I agree Sarah--I'm not a real big Alcide fan either. He's yummy to look at, but, well--he just seems to want to use her after that first appearance when he's forced to help her because of a debt to Eric.
If my choice was basedd solely on looks definately and 100 percently ALCIDE!!!!! If it was on the whole package including perosnlaity in the books then Sam. he is the only one with no control tendicies (Eric, Bill) crazy murdering jealous Ex- Girlfriends (Alcide) Serious family issues (Quin) and ulteirer motives (Bill).

In the books I would say Bill. In the show I would say Sam all the way. I am only on book #9 though and at the end of season 2 on the series.
I love love love Eric. However, I don't see Sookie giving up her home and way of living for Eric. Bill lives right next to her and I think deep down inside he wants a simple, humble life like Sookie does. Would be nice if he could go human. Alcide is just hot! But too white trash for her. Sam is too much of a brother friend. Maybe the fairies will make her forget both Bill and Eric. Who knows. I just love the books and the shows!
Eric!!! However, I don't know how that will work long term considering Sookie doesn't want to be a vamp. Second choice would be Alcide if he ever gets his head out of his pack's ass. :-)
Alcide is too hot for his own good. My gosh that man is beautiful.

In a perfect world she should have both Eric and Alcide! :-)

I have to say I do lean toward Eric but maybe we haven't met Sookie's true love yet. I think she grows with each relationship. I love to think that there will be more.
My heart flutters toward Eric; well, today it does. It might be Quinn in the morning and Sam by nightfall.Sookie should have hooked up with Sam and gave it a real go. If that didn't work out then that would be about the time Quinn comes along. Either would be a far better choice for her.
I'm kind of leaning towards Charlaine bringing Quinn back with his "issues" resolved. She did something kind of similar with her Roe Teagarden series when she finished the series off.

If I was him I wouldn't give her the time of day. It'd be nice to see Sookie have to work for a man for once.

I still choose Eric (maybe a farie magic and make him human)and Sam as my second choice. I highly doubt CH will introduce a new lover this late in the game.

I think I'd choose Alcide with Eric as a close second.

100% agree!!! Although I know Vamp and Wolf don't agree I would love to see her have both!
i would pick eric... yes he is waaaayyy hotter but also because he dosent lie to her ... he seems to be more truthful about how he feels and intensions... bills whole motive in meeting her ( the file) seems suspect also when they 1st meet he (tricked) her to drink his blood so she was bonded!! not like eric where she fell in love!!
It would have to be Eric. He is the only one that can offer her the most protection and he is a mainstream vampire, offering her some sort of normalcy in her life. Bill has broken the trust between him and Sookie. They will never have the bond they once shared. Sam is a loyal friend, but not a lover. Though there is something between her and Sam, Eric could kick Sam's ass any day. Who would want to have sex with a dog, anyway. Ew. Alcide reminds me of a trailer trash mutt, especially since he was in love with Debbie. I don't trust his temper and I do not think he really loves Sookie, he is just looking to get her in bed.
Finally, Quinn, though muscular and tall, gets his ass kicked by Bill. End of story.
For Sookie I think I would pick Quinn, I don't know there was just something about there relationship that worked.Of course for myself I would choose Eric, hands down. I never have liked Bill. Eric the bad boy all the way.
Maybe she should just accept her Fae side and pick them all- a vamp, shifter orgy!

With only two books left...its pretty safe to say I think sam, alcide and quinn are out of the running. Im hoping that she can turn eric human. First because hes hot and second it makes a lot of sense. Pretty sure sook will always love bill, he was her first...and as much as us ladys hate to admit it but we always hold on to the first...even I do, though that guy was a total loser lol!
Hmm, I think based on just the first 3 books (because those are the only ones I have been able to read thus far) I would say either Eric or Alcide. Even by standards of the show I would say Eric! Now by the show's standards as far as Alcide goes, I don't think they seem more than sexually attracted.
I wish I could say Eric but, Alcide would make her happy. Alcide is still alive so they could grow old together, have kids, and he could be there in the day with her.

I like Quinn too, if Charlaine is insistant that Sookie not wind up with/as a vamp.
