Shadows Within The Darkness...
I finally caught sight of him strolling down the street I smiled knowing he had no idea he was walking straight towards me I shifted slightly knowing full well the darkness kept me hidden as I waited for him to pass by me..
I waited before I backed away enough to not be visible to him as i swiftly climbed the side of the building and crawled over to the edge watching him from up there getting ready to draw any number of my weapons that I had..
I sighed softly and got up flipping off the building landing right in front of him my crystal blue eyes narrowed as I pointed the point of my sword at his throat, "reach for the gun and I'll silt your throat faster then you can blink," I said calmly the wind stirring my silver hair which rested on my shoulders as I took a step closer pressing the point against his chest so that if he dared make a move it would slid right through, "if I had wanted you dead, that is what you would be..." She said simply..
I sighed, "kid? Truly... You call me a kid, as in a goat or a child cause I can assure you I am neither," I states before I kicked his legs out from under him watching as he fell onto his back and stood over him blade pressed firmly against his chest, "you should know not to say things you don't understand," I said simply leaning slightly closer knowing my orders were to locate and to kill this man...
I rolled my eyes.. Again with the kid thing.. What is with this guy? Before I focused back on him pressing the blade harder but not enough to pierce through anything just yet, "the one thing I will not do tonight is regret," I retorted my voice obviously accented but was too foreign to detect... "But give me one reason why I should regret ending you and I may spare your life," i lied smoothly and effortlessly...
I clenched my teeth knowing I should have looked over his file... Sheathing my sword I reached down and pulled him up my grip on his arm like steel as I reached down and seconds later I was holding his gun giving him a look before tucking it into my pocket before I started pulling him away down the street quickly debating where to go before I finally spoke, "who do you think sent me here to kill you?" She demanded..
"What do you mean you don't know? You obviously expected something with the gun and being able to spot me in the dark," I pointed out in nearly a growl pulling him into a hotel after her leading him straight through the lobby and towards the elevator as I waited for his answer my bright lightly crystal blue eyes flicking around...
I shoved him into the elevator quickly pressing the button to my floor before I was pinning him to the wall glaring at him, "you may be an assassin, boy but whatever you've done pissed off someone big who you don't want to be messing with," I hissed not bothering with full detail till we were safely in my hotel room... The elevator dinged as I grabbed his arm again and tugged him out after me going left as I headed to the right room...
I went in after him closing the door behind me and froze glancing around feeling something off my gaze flickered over at him briefly before I stalked pass him slipping out my pistol as I began checking every room and hiding spot passing him again I paused for a moment to growl at him to take a seat In the living room which I had already gone through before continuing looking around knowing either someone was In here besides us or someone had been in here but looking for what...? Checking the whole room and finding nothing I went back to the living area glaring at him, "if your an assassin as you say then wouldn't it be the point that no one finds out who you are or what you look like..." I pointed out still holding the gun as I strolled over into the area..
"You would have been trained into that it should have been an instinct," I said nearly growling as I looked out the window before turning around to face him glaring, "what have you done so far?" I demanded slowly stalking closer to him awaiting my answer..
I clenched my teeth together hard glaring at him, "you'd best learn to stop calling me kid," I snapped stalking over to him, "and you'd better tell me what I want to know or I'll just kill you now," I stated simply and completely seriously..
I shrugged, "fine" I said just as evenly while i simply got out a dagger, grabbed him by his hair, dragged him roughly away from the window easily getting him flat on his back on the floor and sat on him the dagger at his throat as I calculated how to kill him quickly with little blood spilling onto the ground and quickly decided breaking his neck would be the easiest I grin down at him tucking away the dagger and leaned slightly closer to him enough to whisper in his ear, "one last chance Dan, tell me what you've done since you've become an assassin...." I drifted off waiting for his reply...
I pulled back slightly resisting the urge to shudder and glared down at him, "anything else?" I asked through clenched teeth pinning him down with my hands pressing his shoulders to the ground and of course sitting on him helped but the drug lord and the corporation it didn't fit not at all...
I glanced away growling in irritation nothing why would he want me to kill Dan when he's done this sort of things? You don't hire me to kill someone for these things... I looked back at him my crystal blue eyes narrowed, "nothing else? What were the drugs specifically..?" I asked well more like demanded needing to fit the pieces together..
I clenched my teeth harder... This made no sense whatsoever maybe he was a.... No that's unlikely but it would make sense why he wanted Dan dead... I scowled before leaning down again to whisper in his ear, "you've done something Dan, or you're something cause my employer wouldn't kill you otherwise... Think hard Danny boy cause you life truly is on the line..." I hissed softly wanting to straight up from the uncomfortable position of leaning over him but was reluctant..
I leaned back meeting his glare, "then you Danny are in very big trouble with the wrong people," I purred with a smile, "unless you want to die by my hand today you'd better be a good little boy.." I said amused pressing my hand against his chest lifting myself off him and rolling away I get up glancing at him before I went over to the kitchen area having already locked the door..
"Would you like anything?" I asked him, might as well be pleasant to him before I had to kill him of course while I fixed myself up a hot chocolate...
I nodded making the coco and sat on the couch sipping it as I watched him carefully, "you'll be staying here," I said calmly leaving no room for an argument, "there's another bedroom through that door with an adjoining bathroom," I stated simply pointing towards the door needing to get to the bottom of whatever caused 'him' to send me to kill Dan...
I rolled my eyes sipping the coco again before answering, "you heard me," I said giving him a look crossing my leg over the other, "I need to figure this out cause trust me," I started leaning forward looking at him hard, "if I don't kill you and head back empty handed he'll send someone else to finish the job," I stated completely serious before leaning back against the couch, "and I don't need to be chasing you around as I do that so your on room lock down..."
I smiled at him, "yes, yes I am. Do you have a problem with that?" I asked raising an eyebrow watching him carefully narrowing my crystal blue eyes tho not at all really caring if he did as I sipped my hot coco..
I simply looked up at him completely calm, "I guess that is just too bad for you, is it not.." I said amused before taking another sip of my drink..
I rolled my eyes.. Back to the 'kid' thing again.. "I wouldn't bother if I were you," I said simply motioning towards the door and window in the room, "doors locked and not by our side nor the other side, as for the window they are bullet proof and cannot be opened... I thought we agreed you needed to be a good little boy," I stated taking my last sip of my hot chocolate before I got up walking over to the kitchen and out the cup away in the dishwasher..
I smiled straightening up and leaned against the counter hearing his thought of killing me, "I'd like to see you try Dan, but be forewarned even if you managed to kill me you'd still be stuck in this room," I informed him my expression impassive, "so maybe instead of stressing how bout you get some beauty sleep... You.." I paused my eyes trailing up and down him before I smirked, ".. You need it.."
I continued leaning over the counter looking at him amused, "how did I what Dan?" I asked my lip quirking up in amusement watching him carefully, "like I said, you should get some sleep I promise I won't kill you until the morning," I promised with a wink..
"You were thinking of killing me, of course I would hear it..." I said simply hiding my amusement of the situation, "I would have heard if you were planning to kill yourself or anyone else for that matter," I stated knowing this would confuse him even more which brought me the upmost delight before I pushed off the counter and strolled over to the door that led to the bedroom I was occupying, "you may not sleep but I have a busy day tomorrow so stand there and be tired if you'd like but I'm going to get some shut eye," I informed him stopping at the door and turned around to face him..
I sighed rolling my eyes and turned to walk into the bedroom when I froze sensing something as I backed up slowly turning around before I swore darting into my room a quickly grab the things I stashed and exited heading straight over to Dan while glancing around, "shit I should have know," I growled looking at Dan glaring as I grabbed his arm again pulled him over to the front door grasped the handle while muttering words before opening it shoving him out the door as the window blasted apart across the room glaring at it I slam the door closed grabbed Dans arm again dragging him towards the stairs..
I glanced behind us knowing whoever they had sent would be crashing through the door anytime soon.. Looking back I kicked open the door to the stairs, "don't stop until you reach the bottom landing, "I growled at him pushing him through the door as I swiftly took out a dagger turned and flung it down the hall in one swift movement just as the something crashed through the door and the dagger implanted itself into the figure... Not wasting any time I slipped through the door glad for once he'd listened to me and he'd began down the staircase, while I closed the door to the stairs slipping something out of my pocket slapping it onto the door before I looked over the banister seeing all the way down to the first floor before I hopped up onto the creaky banister glanced back at the door and jumped falling all the way down. I landed gracefully on the finally landing in a crouching position just as Dan stepped onto it and a loud explosion sounded from a few landings up, straightening up I walked over to him catching his arm and led him to the front doors, "sent to kill you now I'm protecting you.... Dan your a very lucky and unlucky man," I informed him amused tho most people would think me insane for being so in this situation:..
I rolled my eyes and seconds later I had him pinned to the wall my fingers wrapped around his throat while i glared furiously at him, "you may have not asked for it boy, but that thing up there is after you... Got that? Not me, you. I don't care what you say cause obviously you've done something or you are something that has someone you really don't want on your back, pissed," I hissed, "you would have been dead right now if it wasn't for me so don't forget that, and one last thing... I'm not a 'kid' I don't know why you refer to me as such but If you do it again there'll be hell to pay," I finished releasing my grip on his throat snatched his arm digging my nails into his skin as I dragged him out of the hotel and towards the parking lot..
I stopped whipping around to face him glaring, "I was hired to kill you, got that.. If I had declined someone else would have been here to kill you and I can promise you they would have shown no mercy, so yes you wouldn't be in this situation you'd be dead!" I snapped opening the door to my car and shoved him into it not bothering to ask him to muttering as I waved my hand over the door which meant he couldn't get that door open as I quickly went to the other side hopped into the driver seat quickly getting it started and into drive as a flash of motion from a few stories up caught my attention just as the window broke from a figure ramming through it... Swearing I slam on the gas speeding out of the parking lot and onto the road..
I grinned not taking my eyes off the road as I putting pressure on the brakes as I turned the wheel hard so that we U turned into the opposite lane before I slammed on the gas turning once again switching into a lane that headed straight onto a highway, keeping my gaze glued to the road accelerating the speed as needed before I started talking, "fine, you want out then you may happily jump from the car just watch your back," I told him taking my hand off the wheel to point behind us where what looks to be a giant bull was chasing them destroying anything that got in its way.. I quickly began switching lanes my gaze flickering to him, in front of me and at the rear view mirror rapidly..
I glanced at him slightly before at the road once again, "just be happy you can only see the bull part, damn thing is hideous," I muttered knowing exactly what it was but knew he would probable Never believe me... Sighing I slam on the gas switching lanes as I dodged cars while the giant bull type thing hit a car and caused it to flung way In front the them landing hard on the ground while I swerved hard to avoid it..
"How bout you calm down so I can drive and not get us both killed?" I suggested harshly my accent thick while I glanced at the rear view mirror and knew I had to get off the highway, accelerating quickly i swerved the car towards the separators using another car as A ramp we flew over the separators while I took my foot off the gas putting pressure on the brake as we land roughly on the ground and I turned the car sharply pressing on the gas once again as I glanced into the mirror again swearing softly under my breath as I focused on the road ahead of me dodging cars until I swerved the car towards the edge of the highway using another car as a ramp once again. soaring over the barrier that kept cars from doing that while I pressed hard in the gas, "hang on its going to be a bumpy landing," I informed him with a smirk while the car hit the top of the large transport truck but I kept on driving right off it and once again on the road that led out into the country glancing at the mirror again I could still see it after us but more hesitant now... I groaned knowing I had to do that but decided on once we were on the country roads, "you alright boy?" I asked glancing at him briefly..
I had to smile at that, if he was a little uneasy from that then he'll be in one hell of a shock with everything I go through.... "Good cause its going to get a little bit more crazy," I replied chuckling as I sped down the road heading straight until we left the city while the bull still was after them.. Sighing I pressed a button near my knee which caused the car to spin around I quickly put the car in reverse speeding backwards while we faced the giant bull clicking another button there was a small noise coming from the outside of the car before I reached over to his part of the dashboard hitting something which caused a control board to flip up pulling slightly away I pressed the gas hard shifting so I was looking behind us, "use the control board, shot the bloody beast," I instructed him hoping he could figure out the controls so I focus on not running us off the road..
Most of the bullets hit the giant looking bull who roared in its fury only stumbling slightly before charging after them once again...I cursed looking back quickly, "keep shooting it," I commanded him before pressing a button taking my hands off the wheel which was now steering and driving itself, I unbuckled my seat belt swiftly moving to the back of the car where I grabbed a sphere I keep back there that had odd markings engraved on it. I pressed it in two places turning it as it opened slightly all around the centre glowing I open the sun roof peeked out and threw the sphere at the giant beast before I quickly went down and sat back in my seat closing the sun roof put the car in manual retracting the guns attached to the car causing the control board to flip back into the dashboard while I swung the car back around stepping on the gas speeding off before their vision was consumed by a blinding light and the after affects of a blast before it all grew silent besides the purr of the engine and their sight returned... I slowly the car down to the speed limit taking a deep breath before smirking glanced at Dan, "still want me to let you go?" I asked raising an eyebrow..
I sighed grabbing his wrist forgetting that those things usually were known for messing with people's minds, "Dan it's gone relax, stop tapping the dashboard," I said gently at least trying to sound gentle but that wasn't exactly my forte... as I held his wrist together with on hand I drove us into the nearest town stopping at the closest motel parking lot thinking it was best not to explain what that was, why it was after them or how it was gone... Putting the car into park I shifted to look at him slowly releasing his wrists..
I sighed getting out of the car and walked around to his side opening the door unbuckled his seat belt before I led him out of the vehicle closing the door and locked it looking at him, "you okay?" I asked knowing I was a reckless driver and very spontaneous when I was hopefully he didn't get a heart attack.. I smirked slightly at the though watching him carefully waiting for the answer...
I sighed shaking my head before I led him into the motel placing him on a chair I quickly twisted my silver hair up into a ponytail before walking over getting a room key since I didn't trust him to be left alone in his own room before I went back debating silently before with a sigh not wanting it to look like i was taking him hostage I clasped my hand with his tugging him after me as I went to the room with the same number as the key glancing back at him my brows furrowed slightly before we reached the door and I opened it gesturing for him to enter....
Walking In after him I closed the door nudging him towards the bathroom, "have a warm shower Dan I'll explain things after.. Got it?" I asked opening the door to the washroom looking at him hard knowing he much be going through shock and that was going to get him killed that I knew..
I sighed god this is what I get I should just kill him and be over with it... Even if he's pretty cute... I pushed those thoughts away walking into the washroom I start up the shower making sure its just the right temperature before heading back to the door to the bedroom tugging him into the bathroom, "strip, wash off, clear your head.. When your done I'll be out there," I informed him exiting the washroom closing the door behind me and sighed sitting in the bed and tugged at the smooth material of my black jumpsuit feeling it start to really cling to my skin sighing I quickly get the mixture in a small bottle I had in a pocket knowing it would snap him back into reality if the hot water didn't...
I was at the little kitchenette area they provided in the room I glanced at him when he entered the room and groaned seeing the blank look still in his eyes walking over with a cup of tea I hand it to him, "drink up Danny," I told him strictly having put the contents of the vile into the cup which would help him get past the shock and get out of this state..
I cursed catching the cup before it fell placed it on the counter, reaching for him in one fluid motion.. Wrapping an arm around his waist I led him to the bed and sat him down watching him carefully holding my tongue for once as I shifted uncontrollable not used to 'helping people'... This was so not my forte.. Before I sat dons beside him patting his back while scowling and clenching my teeth together...
I got up grinning backing away with a smug look on my face but hands raised in a silent gesture of a sorta surrender, "something that'll kick your ass so you'd stop being a mindless zombie," I stated still smirking but put my hands back down to my sides, "tho I think I liked you better before," i said nodding before I sat down on a chair watching him wondering if he'd ask what the fuck was going on...
I looked up at him my expression impassive tho there was anger beneath my crystal blue depths.. "Really a whore?" I asked raising an eyebrow, "that's the best you got?" I question feeling the of urge to laugh before I stood up knowing I wasn't nearly as tall as him but I was just more threatening I glared up at him, "no Dan you shut the fuck up and listen to me, I may have came here to kill you but as you said I was hired to do it, that means someone out there wants you dead and as you saw with that giant bull looking thing, he means business.." I snapped backing him up towards opposite of the wall, "so i'd suggest you sit the fuck down and get comfortable cause your not leaving this room," I stated with finality resisting the urge to laugh at his remark about beating the shit out of her.. I smiled, not a very nice smile.. But a smile that promised things that were not at all good, "I'd like to see you try Dan, remember who managed to take you down the last few couple of times..." I pointed out in a deathly calm manner..
I ground my teeth together sucking in a breath as I glared at him one hand went to his wrist that was at her neck before I smiled devilishly grasping his shoulder with my other hand and kneed him hard at his loin knowing he'd double over I grasped his hair with the hand that was on his shoulder and then bent it hard into my knee before I pushing him roughly onto the bed rubbing my neck and glared, "want to try that again?" I asked knowing his nose would most likely be broken...
I kept him pinned glaring down at him, "better watch your mouth," i hissed angrily, "and don't even bother trying to get up or as you say beat the shit out of me cause if my instincts kick in then you'll be dead, unlike you Danny I was trained to kill all my life, so if I were you stay down and be a good boy.." I growled my voice hushed..
I grunted at the pain of the blows but didn't thrash against his grasp like most people would do while I looked at him incredulously, "seriously?" I croaked out my hand going to his wrist, "you think I'm trying to own you? Your an idiot! Sorry for trying to save your pathetic life, just know once your out that door all the creatures of hell will be after you and you will die;" I hissed my expression and tone completely serious...
I rubbed my throat again rolling my eyes.. The idiot he's dead... Sighing I decided I should take a shower now... Going into the washroom I turn on the water strip and slipped in enjoying the warm water hitting my skin and ran down closing my eyes I soak it all in....getting out minutes later I dried off and slipped my black jumpsuit wondering if he died yet or not...
I leaned against the building covered by the shadow casted by the street lamps my crystal blue eyes glancing around picking up even the slightest movements... I was searching, knowing my assignment would walk by soon I smiled, this was too easy..
