Glancing around I knew there was now no point of staying in this dump making sure I had everything I slinked out of the room and was suddenly at the front desk whispering to the man behind it I handed him some cash before I strolled out of the building smirking at the reminder he probable had no idea where He was and had no ride.. Shrugging his fault I walk over to my car laying down on the good I took out a note book writing down a name pondering why he went after Dan first....

I looked at the name I wrote, Griffin despite what I told Dan that it was a giant bull.. Oh no, what they had hunting them down was beasty literally and I only sent him back home.. Sitting up I knew I wasn't going to get any answers so I hopped off the hood and swung into the car smirking when I remember I had placed a tracker on Dan... All I needed was him to be attacked again then I'll swoop in and grab the attacker... Hoping he would know more then I did.. Sighing I glanced around before starting the car pressing a button and looked at the screen of a map with a red dot blinking..
I suddenly stiffened swearing I put the car in drive and slammed on the gas knowing the next one was about to strike.....The area around Dan began to darken like someone was dimming the lights and was becoming increasingly cold..
There was a noise, like something whizzing through air... That whizzing noise came straight at Dan missing him by inches and implanted in the ground in front of him.. It was a black arrow.. It suddenly got intensely dark you could only barely see your feet while another arrow whizzed though the arm hitting his leg.. Sadly there was a slow very slow killing poison on the arrow head... A figure came out of the dark a tall dark clothed women with black hair and even blacker eyes smiling wickedly with a bow in her hand... Seeing the dark cloud I swore knowing exactly who it was stomping on the brakes I flung myself out of the vehicle and headed right into the cloud:.. I saw them immediately but my gaze went to the women and glared, "Melantha," I hissed stalking over to her as she whipped around to face me fear flashing through her features Before she masked it but I saw it and lunged before she had time to draw her bow..
I tackled melantha to the ground flicking out my dagger and stabbed her in the stomach causing her to cry out in fury and agony twisting it in deep I searched her knowing she always kept an antidote on her finding it I grabbed it and grasped her throat, "did he tell you why your after Dan?" I demanded in a furious hiss while she sputtered a laugh at me smiling, "oh little death, you should know better think hard sweet death as you'll know.. Maybe ask griffin when he returns," Melantha purred before she and her weapon erupted into shadows and the cloud dissolved.. Swearing I jumped to my feet, "stupid shadow!" I called turning to Dan and could hear her squealing high pitched laughter... Rolling my eyes I walked over to Dan wondering why the fuck I was helping him then remember I wanted to know why... Sighing I turned him onto his back sitting down I placed his head on my lap so I could pour the substance in the vile down his throat and did just that making sure he swallowed it all I put his head on the ground while i moved to to rip out the arrow..
Having ripped out the arrow I tossed it aside looking at Dan and knew he wouldn't be able to walk.. Sighing I grabbed his arms and upper body then began dragging him over to her car opening the back door I managed to get him in and laying comfortable on the seats before I closed the doors locking them since I didn't want him jumping from the car the man wasn't the brightest.. Getting into the drivers seat I had left it running before she I simply pressed my foot on the gas and for once drove the speed limit out of town and in the direction of New York..?

I smiled at the noise before I took out something from the compartment at the passenger side of the front of the car taking out a a wet cloth that I surprisingly had in there before I reached behind me glancing back at him slightly as I moved the fabric of his pants placing the cloth on his wounds wrapping it before I looked back at the dark road turning my headlights on before I grabbed some healing ointment and poured the little I had on the cloth not bothering to move it before I tossing it on the empty front seat and turned my focus on the road once again...
Glancing back I noticed he finally passed out.. Looking back a sighed but knowing he would be fine after some rest which left her wondering what the hell Melantha meant by what she said... ~time skip?~
I drove into New York driving towards the nearest hotel and entered the parking lot... Putting the car in park and took out the key I took a deep breath exhausted as I turned to watch the SUNSET, sighing I knew I had to get this done... Getting out of the car I mumbled some words waving my hand over the car as I walked by heading towards the front entrance knowing he was locked in there and would be there when I returned....
(xD) Getting a room number and receiving the key I made my way back to the car glancing around cautiously before I approached the car knowing the moment I looked at it I knew he was awake sighing since I really didn't want to deal with his bitchy attitude and knew I wasn't any better but at least I was trying to save the bloody lunatic.. Walking to the back door I glanced at him deciding right then if he decided to be trouble I'd knock him unconscious.. Muttering the words I opened the back door and held out a hand before he could do a thing, "don't bother yelling or calling me names, I just saved your life twice now," I started off, "and until I understand what's going on your sticking with me... Do I need to repeat myself?" I asked looking at him impassively:..
I relaxed slightly when he didn't full out shout at me and glanced around briefly before I moved away from the door gesturing him to come out tho I was ready to lunge after him if he tried getting away, "we're on the 3rd floor, room 209," I told him waiting for him to exit to close the door behind him..
I led him quickly into the building and into the elevator fidgeting as I pressed on the button for the third floor before stepping away from it and glanced at him raising an eyebrow, "how your leg?" I asked forgetting to check the wound when we arrived at the hotel...
I rolled my eyes looking away from him as the elevator dinged announcing they had arrived at the third floor deciding not to grab his arm and led him down the hall I strolled out knowing he was behind me as I got to the room number 209 slid the card in and opened the door waiting for him to go in first..
Oh great the silent treatment this is going to be fun.. I thought rolling my eyes I close and lock the door heading to the phone i quickly made some calls before hanging up knowing new clothes for the both of them were on their way so without glancing at him I walk through the room locking every window and checking if the place was secure before I headed towards the bedroom I would be sleeping in, "don't bother me," I growled at him as i went into the room closed the door and went into the washroom.. I had been in a car for a whole day I was going to have a nice relaxing bath.. Heading to the washroom I turn on the water for the bath and waited for it to fill up..
Turning off the water I strip and sink into the warm refreshing water... Closing my eyes as I soaked it all in before I started cleaning up rinsed off and got out pulling the drain and wrapped myself in a towel loathing the idea to put the jumpsuit back on and knowing the new clothes would be here soon I decided not to scooping up my clothes I walk out of the washroom putting it on the bed while I used the other towel to dry off my odd silver hair when it was good enough I put the towel I used for my hair back in he washroom and grabbed a robe that was in the room trading it for the towel I went out of the bedroom and sat down on the couch and waited..
I glanced at him briefly pulling the robe tighter around myself before looking behind him at the door, "I had some clothes ordered in," I said finally breaking the for me unusual silence looking back at him I knew I should check the arrow wound.. Clenching my teeth together I got up walking over and crouching down in front of him not saying a word as I rolled up his pant leg taking off the cloth which was drenched in blood and the ointment not breathing I tossed it towards the kitchen counter before sucking in a breath examining his wound which had healed nicely only leaving a small scar...
I glanced up at him before I got up going to my room again getting something out of a pocket from my jumpsuit and returned sitting down at his feet and I took out the cream and began to gently apply it to his scar keeping focused on my task..
My eyes narrowed at his leg clenching her teeth together before I sighed shaking my head, "honestly I don't know... All I know is that I want to know why he wanted you dead so badly," I answered him my voice hushed like I was afraid of being heard and I glanced up at him for was not seeing the angered look in his gaze I looked back at his scar closing up the container holding the cream...
Feeling his gaze I fidgeted slightly before I got up heading towards the door putting the cream down on the counter as I went and muttered some words under my breath just as a knock came on the door and I opened it murmuring softly to the delivery man handed him a few bills grabbed the clothing and closed the door locking it again I walked over to the chair which was just opposite of Dan looking through the box of clothes making sure they were what I wanted before I got out the three men outfits which I tossed over to Dan... Two were casual, well what I expected causal for him and the third was a tux... While mine was two sleek black jumpsuits and the last a silvery blue dress... I waited for him to ask what the tux was for cause well I wouldn't say otherwise and he'd be in for a shocker...
I smiled putting down the box I leaned back comfortable and looked at him impassively, "we'll be going to a ball," I informed him smirking slightly, "formal is mandatory but I need you to understand two things about this ball, one you'll have to be glued to my side, or its unlikely you'll survive, and two.." I paused looking at my hand as I said the next thing, "the masquerade ball is in hell..." I said calmly reaching into the box and pulled out two masks..
I stifled the urge to laugh, "I said we'll be going to hell for the ball...." I repeated with a grin, "we would have been heading to the underworld but Hades had a party last week," I said putting the masks back into the box pulling the robe back in place so he wouldn't see anything.. Hopefully as I returned my completely serious gaze at him:.
"Absolutely," I responded sighing... God this dude was clueless! Guess I'd better start explaining, taking a deep breath I look at him hard, "remember that giant bull thing that was after us? Yes well his name is griffin, he's not exactly a bull he usually had a human body with a animal head which is really creepy.. But he's a kinda god, or a demon shifter only animals which is bad and good for us..." I said taking another deep breath I continue, "as for the girl in all black.. And the sudden darkness and the cold.. Her doing, if you hadn't heard her name is Melantha, which means dark flower... But she a shadow demon and has the ability to chill an area," I said and sat back readying to let go one of the last things, but decided against that I sat up leaning slightly forward, "and last thing is... I was hired by lucifer to kill you." I said dropping the last bomb shell for now and smirked slightly knowing fully that he still in fact didn't know my name yet nor what I was..
I rolled my eyes standing up, "it's no fairytale," I told him sternly scooping up the box and started moving towards my room, "I'll let you digest that but please bathe and and get some sleep we'll be leaving for hell tomorrow at sundown," I told him walking into my room and shut it as I took out on of my jumpsuits slipped it on and tossed the robe to the side going over to the bed I began taking all my things out of the old ripped up jumpsuit which took a bit and out them into the one I was wearing now...
Soon finishing I threw the old one out completely drained of energy and hopped into the bed curling up I soon drifted off as soon as my head hit the pillow from pure exhaustion thankful I was a light sleeper...
I shifted in my sleep but kept my ears open for anything unusual as I replayed the events of the last few days in my head wondering as I fell into deeper sleep, why would he want Dan killed? ...
... ~time skip?~
I bolted awake my sword at hand and pointed straight at.... My eyes narrowed, "Griffin," I growled the greeting pressing the point of the blade against his chest backing him up roughly into the wall glaring at the gigantic man with a hawk head it's beady eyes looked straight at me and mocking, "visit me first Griffin?" I asked and he squawked his answer and nodded knowing I was, "do you know why lucifer wants the boy dead?" I asked agains my tone hushed knowing it was about midday now.. Looking hard at Griffen who seemed to be smiling but didn't answer... Growling I stabbed him with enough force that my sword went through the wall pinning him there, "don't move beasty," I told him exiting the bedroom and glance around wincing at the light and strolled over to close the blinds.. Not seeing Dan out I returned to the room my eyes instantly went to the spot where Griffen had been swearing I grab my sword and was across the hall in an instant hesitating since I wasn't sure he was up or something but deciding I didn't really care I just let myself in glancing around and relaxed slightly when I didn't see Griffen in the room..
Stepping out of the room I scowled still sensing his presences in the hotel room... Then I stiffened remembering he had the ability to mess with someone's mind and make and illusion... Swearing I close my eyes and placed a barrier into my mind once feeling he was out I glanced around still not seeing anything in the main area....Griffen had morphed into a lion by this time and seemed to be oddly smirking at him a smug look in his golden eyes as he stood over him growling low in his throat before he reared back his head to tear apart his throat...
As soon as Dan leaped from the bed and was heading towards the door Griffin roared morphing Into a sleek black panther easily chasing after him swiping at his legs and yowled in victory pouncing on him just as Dans bedroom door swung open from the force of the blow against it when they skid into it...I whipped around when I saw the bed room door swing open seeing the panther on Dan I sheath my sword as a bow and arrow appeared in my grasp drawing the bow having already having the arrow in place I aimed and released hitting Griffen in the flank.. He yowled in his agony stumbling off him as he tried to get the arrow out while I rushed over to Dan checking to seethe damage as I dragged him away from Griffen another arrow appeared in my hand...
Nocking the arrow I aim it at Griffen rolling my eyes since the exit door was locked as usually and released the bow hitting Griffen right in the eyes... Tossing the now aside I grab my dagger and lunged at him who was too busy howling In Pain to notice as I tackled him to the ground his other eyes glared at me hissing viciously before Griffen disappeared returning home just like Melantha did... I swore jumping to my feet before I appeared in front of Dan holding out my hand to stop him, "relax Dan he's gone, left before I could kill him," I told him, "you need to put a barrier in your mind or you'll go back Into zombie mode and we don't have the time for that," I told him placing at hand on his shoulder...
I swore, I was soo getting Griffin for this.. I quickly took him to the ground so he was laying flat on his back then turning him over to check the few wounds I got up grabbing the cream I left on the counter and took some on my fingers then rubbed it over the wounds... Finishing that I wrap them before turning him back over to his back getting up I grab and pillow and tuck it under his head before I slipped a vile out of my pocket moving so I was sitting on him since the contents of the vile always gave a kick start but thankful it would kinda reset his brain to what it was and place a barrier around it so it wouldn't happen again... Opening the vile I dump the contents into his mouth tilting his head up so it would slither down his throat..
I slapped him across the face, "Griffin is gone Dan!" I practically shouted and continued sitting on him as my way of pinning him closing up the vile I put it was wondering what I could do to rid him of the illusions... Sighing I pressed a finger to his temple closing my eyes and entered his mind tinkering with it as I started prying griffins poison out... Finishing I opened my eyes looking down at him wondering of I had to slap him again..
"Dan relax, are you okay?" I asked concerned surprisingly, hoping Griffin hadn't done too much damage but I knew I got everything... "Do you need me to do anything?" I asked again surprising me again as I slowly began sliding off him..
((Oh ookay (hehe double o 7! xD) anyway it's fine.. >.<))Getting off him I grasped his hand and helped him to his feet pulling him close just in case he fell, "how are the legs?" I asked knowing from experience that Griffins scratches are brutal as I helped him to the couch making sure he was sitting down before crouching down in front of him looking at him impassively...
"You sure?" I asked noticing the movement and raised an eyebrow slowly standing up before glancing around, "the ball is this evening we have a few hours to get ready and locate the entrance," I informed him glancing back at him...
I nodded siting down on a chair opposite to him, "hmm none of those, I have a reputation to uphold everyone present knows I simply don't have any personal life besides my job," I said simply with a shrug, "you'll be my 'pet'," I said smirking, "they won't be surprised by that, a lot of them take human companions to play with usually brainwashed but luckily you won't need to be," I said, "but we'll have to disguise your scent," I informed him looking at him hard, "and I'll have to teach you how to act as my pet... Since you'd have to play it as if you were indeed mindless... And know the rules..."
I nodded, "okay well, you'll have to stick by my side you cannot talk to anyone unless I tell you to, that also means you cannot look at anyone else ..." I said strictly trying to remember anything else about them..
"The usual you only do what I say, and opinions don't exist, when you do speak it'll be hushed and only to me... If anyone touches you tell me, even tho they should know not to touch others property, and if anyone tries to drink from you don't freak out get my attention and they'll surely regret it," I said nodding, "that may be it...." I said standing up I focus on him, "I'm going to get ready, I would suggest you eat something and then do the same," I told him nodding slightly before strolling over to the bedroom I was occupying...
After having a quick shower and dressing leaving my face makeup-less since I loathed it all and quickly put my hair up into a bun letting some silver curls hang down while I fixed my knee length sparkly white dress that clung to my figure... Examining myself in the mirror I smirking before turning away getting out the white and the black masks from the box while strapping a gun to my thigh and two blades in my bun that looked to belong there before I grabbed Dans gun and picked the masks back up checking to make sure my earrings which were actually small explosives were in place before I exited my room debating on wearing heals or platforms... Without a pause in my step I knew I was in no way wearing heals.. Platforms will have to do I wondered if I could sneak a weapon in them.... As I waited for Dan to emerge..
I glanced at him looking him up and down thoroughly before nodding in approval, "you also," I praised strolling over to him and handed him the black mask that would strap around his head, "your mask," I told him stating the obvious before handing him his gun, "just in case but shoot me and you'll regret it," I told him my expression impassive..
((So sorry! Had swim team practice...))Nodding at him I turned away walking over to the counter grabbed my mask and then quickly put on some platform shoes that I had stashed teleporting orbs in before turning to look at him, "we have two ways of getting there, one we locate the entrance to hell or the second one where we simply teleport there.." I said, "which would you rather?"
I nodded holding my mask as I walked to my room returning with the sphere I had used back in the car when they were being chased by Griffin strolling Over to him i checked the time before i turned the sphere and pressed it in a few areas causing the middle all the way around to pop slightly apart before I placed it on the ground between them before straightening still holding the my mask I bring it up to cover my face, "it might feel weird, and there's a chance you will have side affects," I informed him before the sphere made a small noise one of a chime and they were both blinded by an intense light..... Once their vision cleared they were at the front door to a palace in hell...
I looked at him making sure he was okay before speaking, "okay remember what we talked about?" I asked glancing at the door and then around..
I nodded so very tempted to say good boy but thought better of it holding the leash I began up the steps and opened the door pausing only a second to strap her mask on before strolling in not glancing back to check if he was following since it would be suspicious... I glanced around easily locating the people who might know the answers to my questions feeling his presence by her side she handed him a small piece of paper, "place that on your neck, it'll mask your scent," I told him my tone hushed..
I nodded my approval before tugging him after me as I made my way through the ballroom which was just off the entrance searching for Kane while glancing around seeing every surprised expression and smirked.. They all know this was a big moment.. Since I had revolted the idea of a pet, or a slave... Spotting Kane who was across the room leaning against the wall...
Pausing i turn around swearing I saw a flash of black... Melantha... Before a voice boomed over the noise and music, "THANA!" I flinched so much for keeping my name hidden from Dan.... I turned slowly around watching calmly as Kane made his way over to them... Tall, dark. And of course wearing the formal attire. A real monster of a man.. I nodded my head in greeting, "Kane," I said, "do you need to be yelling my name at such an event?" I ask giving him a hard look while he just grinned glancing at Dan then back. "finally decided to take a pet now Thana? What a surprise.. Does he taste good?" He said as I rolled my eyes. "Quite it Kane, I never suck and tell," I purred, "but we need to talk.. Meet me In the study in five minutes," I said strictly before I turned on my heel walking towards the direction I saw Melantha only glancing quickly at Dan before back..
Glancing around again I saw no sign of Melantha if I had even seen her in the first place my gaze flickering to Dan for a moment before strolling through the room towards the other exit the lead to the study...
Entering the study I left it opened whispering to Dan to close it behind him before I took off my mask strolling towards Kane and punched him in the gut.. Kane immediately hunched over groaning as I took a step back, "thanks Thana, so kind of you," Kane growled through his teeth straightening up and glared at me.. I flashed him a smile, "I know, now take a seat," I commanded glaring at him since he didn't, "fine Kane, don't sit," I snapped, "but I know he's hired you by now too, why goddammit why?" I growled... Kane leaned against the wall smirking, "oh little death didn't do her homework now did she?" He asked amused while I took the blade out of my hair and threw it at him an inch away from his head, "answer me Kane, I know where your heart is," I hissed... Kane only smirked not saying a word..
I glanced at Dan, "stay here," I told him before grabbing Kane's throat and dragged him out of the room... ~~~~.... Few minutes later I came back in gun in hand and my dress slight ripped in placed and I looked at Dan hard taking the teleport orb from my shoe and walked over, "we have to get out of here," I told him activating the sphere and with the same blinding light they appeared back in the hotel room.. I stumbled slightly before I collapsed to the floor the colour draining from my skin..
All I could do was groan for a reply trembling so hard it was visible as I took of my shoes as fast as I could and slowly began dragging myself towards my room and away from him closing my eyes against the struggle not to leap to my feet and.... I clawed at the floor as pain ripped through me..
