Billy | 195 comments Shouldn't be restricted. It should actually be cheap so more people can prevent babies from being born in an un-fit home.

However I know a few of you think it should be restricted, I don't understand why. Unless you enjoy kids having bad parents and lives.

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments There are forms of Birth Control you can get, such as the micro chip in the arm that is 90% effective in preventing Pregnancy. These last for 4 years in some cases. These are effective and, yes expensive but a large number of teenage girls get them in the U.K, thanks to the NHS and it results in a lower number of teenage pregnancies which is good.

However, condoms are a form of birth control, and they serve two purposes, one to stop conception and the other is to stop and spread of disease, If you were to restrict condoms there would be a large increase in Sexually transmitted infections.

So in my view Birth control especially condoms should not be restricted.

Birth control is so easy to get. You can just go to Planned Parenthood or whatever it is called and get some for free. When kids know that, they think that sex is good. They think they should be allow to have sex whenever they want with nothing bad happening. Teens should not be able to think that. Anyone who wants birth control should have to work a little bit harder not too harder so there would be more pregnancies, but enough that teens and young adults should have to paid even if it is just a little bit. It just shouldn't be free and so easy to get. It's just like candy. If a store had no one watching it and no cameras, a kid could walk in and take some candy knowing they would never be caught. That is the same with birth control. Teens and young adults think and know they can just walk into a Planned Parenthood and walked out with birth control that they didn't have to paid for.

How is that a bad thing? Would you rather teens be unprotected?

I don't want teens to be unprotected; I just they wouldn't use sex so lightly. My siblings love candy as much as some people love sex, so why can't they go to a place and get free candy like someone could get free birth control.

As my dad likes to say, "If you are going to be stupid, you have to be tough."

If kids are going to mess around with sex, they deserve what they get. They should have to face their conquesences. And not getting candy could lead into dangerous things like abortion things like stealing or harming others to get candy.

I doubt teens who are fooling around having sex is worried about their future child. They probably don't even think about them until the girl gets pregnant.

message 9: by Billy (new)

Billy | 195 comments Katelyn, that argument makes no sense. Teens don't worry about getting pregnant, so teens shouldn't have birth control. Well if they dont worry about it, shouldn't we be encouraging teens to use birth control? Awareness is the first step to having less children born who don't have suitable lives

I don't think people just have sex, and it never crosses their mind that they might get pregnant. Like Billy said: awareness is the key.

I've read that somewhere. I think it was in the UK. I forget where. I'll let you know if I find the article.
