authors changing names

How do we deal with authors changing part of their name but releasing the same book? The ASIN/ISBN is still attached to the old name/edition too, do we treat it as alternate covers and just put a librarian's note saying it was released under a diff author_name?

For example,

the ASIN is assigned to a new cover with a new author's name (still sounds the same though) on Amazon

and the paperback version has been already entered,

The name (or names) under which it was originally published are listed first on ALL editions. Editions published under another name(s) will have that name listed second (or third).
