Jayda I hope it's okay that I post this here! I looked and couldn't find another thread dedicated to this topic, and I need help!

I'm trying to write a query letter to attempt to publish one of my manuscripts. I've only written a query letter once before this, and I don't remember what I did with it, so I can't use it as an outline.

Do you have any tips, or an outline of how YOU wrote your query letter, etc?

Hi, just a few hours after I read your post I didnt even know what a query letter was. By definition, it's a page-long introductory of you and your book. Your three concise paragraphs should have a hook, mini-synopsis of your book and the biography of you, the author. Also known as a cover letter.
Some tips I registered from a query website were to not be overlycreative. The process of lettering should take professionalism and preciseness. The idea is for it to be formal, otherwise an agent may discard it.
Also, it isnt a resume. Don't elicit excess information. And do not absolutely write over a page long. It's useless, tiring, and overbearing for both sides of the fence. Another last but not least tip would be to grapple the agent. So if the agent doesn't reply within twice the time they allege then move onto another agent or make another on . I read even that people sometimes send a query a week or fifty a year, so consider that
I'm assuming you're a professional, so I apologize if these are basic formstting tips
