for Urban Fantasy with both Celtic and Native American Mythology try Charles de Lint. Someplace to Be Flying, Forests of the Heart or his new YA series Under My Skin are all great.
American Gods by Neil Gaiman also has Mythology.
The only series I can think of at the moment with Greek mythology is Percy Jackson the first book is The Lightning Thief
For Caribbean mythology Brown Girl in the Ring by Nalo Hopkinson is fantastic.


Don't know if it's really okay to recommend other groups but in the "Into The Forest" group, we read lots of books inspired by Fairy Tales and various kind of Mythologies:

A good series that covers all mythology is the Iron Druid Series by Kevin Hearne, (sort of like American gods meets Dresden) it covers a wide gambit of world mythology.

Yes, I love the Iron Druid series! I'm still waiting for a copy of Hunted. Can't wait to read up on Atticus, Granuaile, and Oberon!

For younger audiences, a series similar to the Iron Druid books dealing with many gods and goddesses from different myths would be The Alchemyst series by Michael Scott.

There are many books in the YA genre to check out:

Sweet Venom, Abandon, and The Goddess Test are all about greek/roman goddesses and legends with a little romance thrown in.

I enjoyed Vessel, which is set in a different world with a similar assortment of different gods and goddesses as our world's myths.

Wildefire is another story with multiple gods reincarnated in the modern world.

Hi! I'm new here but also very interested in the whole mythology books. I've read all of the Percy Jackson series and the Kane chronicles and I'm looking to expand. I was wonder if any of you know of any books where it's kind of like a mythology mash up. Like for example greek and Egyptian gods in one book or angels and Norse gods all in the same series. I've been looking for things the past few weeks and stumbled upon this site and found some really cool books. I love all of your recommendations, just wondering if you all could help me out. Thanks!

Wow...that's a tall order, lol. I have to admit that I haven't read a lot of mythology books, but
is about all different types of gods from all types of legends, etc. It is kind of gritty, though, and maybe not exactly what you're looking for. On the other hand, it is a terrific read. One of my favorites.

I agree with Michelle on American Gods. It's great! But it's not for everybody, is anything?
Maybe Temping Fate? It's about a temp service for Gods and Goddesses, etc. from across many mythologies.
