This book will be selected from an open nomination process. Any book may be nominated as long as it meets the group's BOM nomination criteria*.

The first 10 books that have second and third nominations will be eligible for being voted on by the membership via a poll.

The book with the highest amount of votes will be one of our Books of the Months.

*BOM Nomination Criteria:

All books nominated must be listed in our group under our ARR Program or have been listed in the past under Completed ARR Books.

Please do NOT nominate a book that is part of a series unless it is the first book (at the moderator's discretion)

Nominated books should not have recently been a BOM.
You should check the Book of the Month group bookshelf to make sure the book you nominate has not already been a group read.

Authors if your book wins the BOM you may contact one of the mod's if you’re interested in giving the members it for free with the condition they will write a review.

Anyone can nominate a book, but must be different member to second or third said book.

Any other questions leave us a message below.

It's original and something many readers will enjoy. I doubt it will get a lot of votes but it's worth a try. Good luck to everyone. I'm sure you all deserve it but there can be only one winner! Peace, out.

A must read for those interested in historical times, and for those that enjoy stories that make you laugh through tears. ...But They Call Me Sonny

message 21: by Anton (new)

Anton (antontroia) | 18 comments The Last Overseer by Anton Troia

I'd like to nominate my own novel, "The Last Overseer" Its a Dystopian tale, featuring a blend of sci-fi and horror.

It is set in the near future where a totalitarian global government does everything it can to track down mutating humans in order to prevent a zombie apocalypse. Some citizens however, don't want to be cured, leading to civil unrest, dysfunctional romances, tugs of war between science and ethics, and a high octane cat and mouse chase story.

message 22: by Adam (new)

Adam Tritt (adam_tritt) | 22 comments I want to nominate Songbook for Haunted Boys and Girls by Wayne McNeill.

This is a memoir told in a series of vignettes, all taking place on one street in Toronto. It is so utterly beautifully done, so remarkably real and lyrical, so sensual and delightful. And such a joy.

Adam Songbook for Haunted Boys and Girls by Wayne McNeill

chucklesthescot I'd like to second Beasthood (The Hidden Blood Series, #1) by A.Z. Green by AZ Green. It is a totally different take on the usual werewolf story.

message 26: by Craig (last edited Aug 01, 2013 10:50AM) (new)

Craig Lloyd-Smith | 1 comments I second the nomination of Songbook for Haunted Boys and Girls, but I'd like to add Adam Byrn Tritt's recent book, Songs from the Well.

It's a heartbreaking yet joyful chronicle of his love for his wife, Lee; his sudden and heartbreaking loss of her to brain cancer; and his struggle to find a way back to life, as told through essays and poetry written during their marriage and in the time since her passing. Powerful, gorgeous writing.

Sandeep Koul | 19 comments i will third (??) or rather second hemanth again..

message 30: by David (new)

David Wolf | 3 comments The burden of being human is that we are blessed with phenomenal comprehension, but unfortunately we are not granted the ability to grasp it all.

I would like to nominate my literary novel Solace of Stone.
http://www.solaceofstone.com

The book is for a few months on Amazon and the reviews there are very enthusiastic.
To quote a few:
- Breathtakingly beautiful.
- I recommend this book to fans of Proust's 'A la recherche du temps perdu', or anyone who prefers soulful and mature writing to shallow sensationalism.
- Solace of Stone presents a world rich in culture, philosophy and ideas; a world that has been diminished in our present-day texting, surfing, superficial reality.
- Solace of Stone seems like it is the work of an accomplished author with lots of mileage on his word-processor

Please find the book on:
