Susie (dragonsusie) | 2469 comments I've noticed that there's two seperate series lists - an English version and a German one. I know that series are usually combined, but it appears that the German series did things differently, including splitting each book into two parts.

English series:
Runespell: http://www.goodreads.com/series/59388...
Book of Man: http://www.goodreads.com/series/59391...
Book of Önd: http://www.goodreads.com/series/59389...

German series:
Runenzauber: http://www.goodreads.com/series/96398...

Now a look on the German Amazon shows them listed so:
http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/34267...

I know that with A Song of Ice and Fire the German series, despite each book being split into two, is listed under the main series name. Although I can see that there would be a difference here, being as all books are put under the one series in the German version, whereas the English version has them in 3 separate series.

Does anyone know about this case? And are there any suggestions, or to just leave it alone?

Incidentally, each book under the German series has the original titles there (all the ones I've looked at, anyway) and which part they are.

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Separate series listings are created when a series is republished with different numbering. You'll sometimes see a book show up on both listings if the same partial edition is published once with one numbering and again with the different numbering (this is what happened with some of the Song of Fire and Ice books: the German books are split in two and numbered that way, but some of the English books are also split in two but numbered part 1/2 of the full book's number).

I'll add some notes and links between the series.
