I think I would go with knots. He doesn't necessarily need so many knots or complex knots to tie someone up, so I think learning the different knots could be a hobby for him.

Works for me.
Works for me.
can I get credit for music in K for the sentence below?"The dark, melodic sound of the piano carries softly through the house, breaking me from my trance-like daze. The piece stops three times and begins all over again as she tries to get the keys right."
It will work if it is a significant part of the story, not one where the characters just visit once.Examples might be:
-a haunted house where the characters are trying to figure out who the ghosts are
-a character is fixing up a house and parts of the story happen in this house(happens a lot in romance books)
-a historic house a character tries to preserve in the story
-a generic house (family estates/ranches/etc where gatherings occur)

when is the last day for updating the list? i will try to do so Saturday night.
how are we doing? I changed riding the storm to R to close out that letter
We are at 62 books right now. I will have 2 more books finished by tomorrow night. I will ask the mods when exactly we have to post the completed challenge. There are enough books read by other members that I can add their books as spell out books using just titles and authors on Sat morning, but I think we should have until Saturday night to post it. We wanted to use the books from the members posting them first since they went to the extra effort of finding the other items and playing Scattergories.
Updated my lists. Didn't manage to complete any letter though :(Here's my score:
Total: 90
C: 13
E: 6
R: 8
U: 4
L: 8
A: 6
N: 5
K: 3
H: 7
O: 5
B: 12
I: 6
T: 7

We'll be OK whether you finish those or not. I am waiting to see if you will or not, but I can add in some books from other members if you can't.

Sorry, in this case Texas can't count as location. Previous book was set in Texas, this one is in New Orleans. Location needs to be place where good part of the book is taking place or something significant for the books happens. In this case Texas is only mentioned.
*If I didn't read it before you, it would probably pass. Since I did, sorry.*
Now if you've put tavern where they stayed/lived.... (one where Ty & Ava worked) ☺

Ok. Well, I used the tavern where they hid out (the one Ty used to sing with Ava murdoch)

Just edited previous post with same words. ☺

For clarification, I have until this time on Sunday to get the spreadsheet updated and turned in. Books must still be finished in August to count, but if you finish a book on Sat night, I can update it on Sunday morning so the book will still count.
TC/Tea,I am currently reading
---so "I" is the only category that will be updated.I put Justice by Laurann Dohner aside to read it...unless I go back to it tonight.
The rest are pretty much done. I think 2 months would have allowed me to complete. I hope we do alright.
We are good. We are at 72 right now. I will be finishing one more tonight and if you finish that one, we will be at 74. I will pull in 1 or 2 more books from another member to make up the 75 book totals, if you can't finish it. There are plenty to choose from.I think we have done a great job this month. With only 4 members actively posting books for this challenge, we have read 72-73 books(depends on whether you finish that last one or not). It is no problem to pull 2 or 3 from the other members to fill in the rest.

I will be updating everything again after I get off work tonight, then finishing my book and then updating one last time early tomorrow morning right before I post the completed challenge. I live in PDT and am an early riser, so the deadline is easy for me to make.
Am I late?!?My Internet is back!
*happy dance*
Finished my books 2 days ago (☺)! I'll update posts and spreadsheet if I still can.
(Too bad I wasn't expecting to be back on time so I wasn't really paying attention to words. )
Finished:
Visions of Heat - Nalini Singh - n - 8/30/2013
Female (nick)name: Red
cover: leopard spots
color: The man might not have the night-sky eyes... pg 218
Was just starting the last update before posting it now. If you have already updated it, it will be ready for me to post as soon as I check if Ezi was able to finish her last book or not.
Turtlecollector wrote: "Was just starting the last update before posting it now. If you have already updated it, it will be ready for me to post as soon as I check if Ezi was able to finish her last book or not."I didn't since I wasn't sure if I'm late. :D
Doing it now. ☺
Edit:
Done!
I added Jojiwoji's books since she said she was going to come back and post them, but she never did. I just used them as spell-out though. So we are over 75. Between the 4 of us who were actively posting our books, we managed to finish 74 books so far(waiting to see about Ezi). That is an amazing job!I am not sure if Ezi didn't finish her book or I am still too early and she hasn't had time to update yet. I still have 4 hrs before I need to post it, so I will wait a little bit more just in case.
But if she finished book today I don't think I'll count. It's September. I don't think that countdown counts also for reading.
It doesn't, but she marked it as finished in the post for the letter I as finished on 8/31. She hasn't updated the post or tagged it to her shelf, and she can do that this morning and it will still count as being finished for the challenge as long as she really did finish it in August. I will wait to see in couple of hours and then post it anyway. I am curious if we have gotten all 75 books with just the four of us.
Hi ladies.I don't know I'm so damn competitive but I fought to finish my book. You people bring out my challenge monster in me. I'm going beck to sleep. When I wake up I will begin my day with Lisa Klrypas and laundry...
