Not sure on the reading habits of the people in the group yet, but for those that are like me and love some sci-fi and fantasy, I just wanted to point out that tor.com have extended the time period to download their collection of 151 original short stories that have appeared on their site over the last 5 years for free.
Any one that is interested in getting a pdf, .mobi or .epub copy for themselves can make an account and download it for themselves here.
I have just downloaded it myself and haven't read any of the stories yet so I unfortunately am unable to give any recommendations on which of the 151 I think are the best.
Thanks for the share, Autilluan. I also downloaded them but I haven't started them, yet, as I broke the screen of my Kobo.
I'll probably read them over the course of months, once I start; between novels or whilst travelling.
P.S. You can start you own topic in a folder in future if you find it more convenient.

I have to agree with you and Barbara, Allan. My sister read 50 Shades last year and it was the first novel she ever read. I think she had the impression that books are somehow difficult and more for self improvement than entertainment. Since then she has borrowed Slammerkin and Silver Linings Playbook from me, and other books from friends. The end result is I can now understand her text messages.
Nothing lets you inside the mind of the characters like a book can. They'll always have a place.
BURNING BRIGHT.

A COMEDY ABOUT MONEY, FAME AND THE CELTIC TIGER
The Celtic Tiger is in his prime and the Kerrigans are splashing the cash. They have made it big time, so eat your heart out you small town snobs! But Daddy’s-girl Kirsty wants International Celebrity and devotes herself to this dream. She crashes Madonna’s Christmas party but that doesn’t help. She goes on Big Brother and causes a stir but doesn’t help either, However, when a You Tube video of Kirsty goes viral, fame arrives with a bang. But Tracey O’Hagan, a blast from a shady patch in the Kerrigan past, has appeared on the scene. She’s mad. She’s bad. And she’s definitely dangerous to know.
Burning Bright is told in the voices of Kerrigan family members and friends. It’s funny. It’s believable. And it will definitely make you laugh.
