Problem: Another author has my name

The book "A World of Possibility" ISBN
9781301569878 is attributed to another author with my same name - Susan Hawthorne. She lives in Australia.
The book was recently published and I was going to join the author program and when to have this book listed under my name and its listed under hers.
Help :)

This happens sometimes when two authors have identical names. To get around this problem, Goodreads uses extra spaces to denote different authors. I have created a new author Susan^^Hawthorne, where the ^ means a space. So you have TWO spaces between your profile name, while the other Susan Hawthorne has one.

So from now on, if you need to identify yourself for help from GR librarians, add editions of "A World of Possibility", or add new books, remember to use Susan^^Hawthorne.

I've rebuilt most of the content of the original profile. She has lost her low number and her photo since I can't find a guaranteed 'free to post' image.

Banjomike, I'd love to know what went wrong if you ever figure it out. I was pretty sure when I created the two-space profile it was ok, but if I screwed it up, I don't want to make the same mistake in the future.

It looks like the original profile (number 359,383) was combined into a brand new one containing the book that is mentioned in the OP. Thus giving it a new number (7,189,846) and removing the profile that had been on Goodreads since year 1. I don't know of another way to do that. This caused all the data stored on the original profile to get deleted. Shortly before you did your bit it looks like an author also renamed the old profile. Why? Don't know.
