Lia (liamyo) | 14 comments I typically read one book at a time but then sometimes I can't help it I would find myself reading atleast 7 books at once

Ellen | 6 comments Two. One home and one on the bus. How can some of you guys read 12 books at the same time!? Don't you get so confused?

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

I think it would take forever to get through 12 books too! Like that feeling when you are enjoying a book, but feel like you have been in it forever....maybe that's just me. I'm always looking at what I am going to read next

Randhika Aturaliya (randhikaa) | 3 comments Oh golly, when I was younger I remember my mom would always yell at me if I started a book before I finished another and now I am in the middle of reading 5 books

I know I read very different books at once! Like I will have a couple biographies going, a high fantasy, some sci-fi book, a realistic fiction, and a mystery.

Jennie (msdiamondeye) | 75 comments 1 at a time.But i can handle until 2 too. 3 or more it's just getting confusing. :p ...

message 58: by Colleen (new)

Colleen | 27 comments Between I-3 books at a time

message 59: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments I try to keep to one, but it's usually at least two.

message 60: by Kim (new)

Kim Lilienthal I like to read one book at a time, but occasionally I will break that rule. If I do, it will be two to three at once. The most I've probably ever done is five at once.

Lorraine Carey (lorrainecarey) | 6 comments Right now I am reading 2 but I can do 3 at a time. I am asked to do a lot of reviews. And that is when I am not writing. I try to space them at different times throughout the day.

I honestly think speed reading is a waste of my time as it cheats me out of those little details that make reading a great distraction from life by pulling you away from reality and submersing you into another world.....I occasionally speed read a book if I am sick of it but it's not bad enough to make me just set it down and never ever finish it.

Patrí (calledyoumarie) | 14 comments Lorraine wrote: "Does anyone here speed read? I know a lot of authors and book reviewers are doing this."

I do, but not for all books I read. It depends with the writing style. Even if the book has a bad plot, but the writing is good then I won't speed read.

I speed read most books that I've been anticipating. It's because I'm so anxious and excited. But I always re-read them anyway.

I just read Captive by Aimee Carter, and it took me 3hrs to finish the book.

Jazzy (stairstepjitters) | 135 comments I like reading a lot of books at one time but I've been waiting for my next shipment to come in so I'm trying to savor my last few for survival purposes.

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

My record is 5. I don't really like doing it either. Right now I have 3 books I'm reading.

message 70: by Stephy (new)

Stephy Beno Probably 3 at a time, but nowadays, I like to finish a book and then move on to another one.

Same.

Selina Zheng | 7 comments Nope, one at a time for me! I can get confused and I don't like the feeling of not being completely IN the story, if that makes sense. I feel like if I'm juggling more than one book at a time, it just makes me forget important details.

I used to read two books at a time, but stopped because I hardly have the time (or energy) for one book anymore!

message 73: by Fatima (new)

Fatima (fatimajaveed) three at a time. Actually it depends on my mood. If am happy then I would read three otherwise just one.

message 74: by Shania (new)

Shania | 6 comments I try to read one or two at a time, but usually I end up at three or four, sometimes even five.

message 75: by Maryam (new)

Maryam | 1125 comments Now i'm reading 3!

message 76: by Puja (new)

Puja Jain | 7 comments I preferably read only one book at a go, but I have done with 3
