How many books do you typically read at once?

It really depends though. If they're very different genres, I can probably "absorb" from multiple titles equally.
one or 2 too many books at once make it hard for me

What with school I can usually only focus on one to two books at a time for free reading, but during the summer I can read about five books at once and keep them all straight.

I prefer to read one at a time, but sometimes (especially if I am wanting to read and the book I am currently reading is not around) I will read up two or three at a time. No more than three, even that gets somewhat confusing.

me. so I will until it comes back. while I'm waiting i check out other book. but i do get to finish the series.

I keep multiple books going easily if they are all different, like a autobiography, a sci-fi book, a mystery, and a book on deduction.
O_O 20 books at one time!??!!? WOAH!!
I could never read that many at one time.....
I could never read that many at one time.....
Hehehe, I'm usually in like...one. :/
I can do 3-4 but I much prefer only one or two
Yeah, same. I get confused when I do more then one or two. It makes it hard to enjoy the stories.
Do you read multiple books at once? How many? Does it effect how you absorb info from each book?
