I just learned that you can write and publish a review on Goodreads (I know, I'm very behind the times). Anyway, I was wondering: Do you always write a review? I haven't written any yet myself, but I found that reading my friends reviews is often helpful when selecting books.

Sam (sam222) I write reviews for all the books I read. Granted they aren't the best in the world but its my opinion of the book, how I like it and all.

Lynn | 11 comments If I love the book, I'll write a short review, and the same for the books I hate. I do a book blog with two friends, so I post my reviews from that on here. The books they review, I write a short one on here.

Brenda (funnychia57) It is according to how I feel at the time. So that would be a maybe?

I've recently started writing reviews on each of the books I have read. After I finish nearly every book, I post a review. I recently started a blog, hoping that would serve as an incentive to write a greater number of reviews in a shorter amount of time.

Gabriella (gmargarita) I only have two reviews up because I only recently started writing them, but now I review every book I read. It's usually just a paragraph, maybe more if I feel very strongly about the book.

message 7: by Mpiggy (new)

Mpiggy I recently wrote one review and I might start to do so more often, but I would only write reviews for books that I have clear opinions about that I can describe easily. Or if I feel strongly about the book, if I was expecting more, or if it was exactly how I hoped it would be, etc.

Lade (ladet) I try to always write reviews but I will always write one when/if I get the book for free (from the author)

message 9: by Kaitlin (new)

Kaitlin I dnt usually write a review on books but when I do it's normally if I have something negative to say about the book.

Kennedy | 236 comments I never write reviews I've written maybe 2 but I can't write worth a flip lol so I stopped doing it.

Anna (Unquenchable Reads) (unquenchablereads) I write reviews sometimes. It depends I guess on my mood.

Samantha (sammgasmic) | 41 comments Now that I've started to become more active on goodreads I've started writing reviews. I think that I'm going to try and write a review for every book I read because reviews are a big part of whether it not I decide to read a book and I want to help people find books they'll love :)

Samantha (sammgasmic) | 41 comments Is there a place on goodreads for blogs? Or are all the review blogs I see people posting links to all from other providers (like wordpress, etc)?

All of the review blogs are hosted elsewhere, such as blogger and wordpress. Several members have posted links to their blogs here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Tammy Davis (portia2012) | 8 comments I did a review for the first book that I read after becoming a member here and I guess that I will keep doing it. I think it helps those who might be interested in reading the book but not sure.
