It's official... Movie...!!... Yea.... WTF????

I'm not sure what people mean by "turns out like Twilight". The Twilight books, while incredibly and magically entertaining were not works of arts. They were poorly written at best. The movies I feel amount up to that pretty well. The last movie was even better than the book. I love the movies and the books for what they were and what they are worth in the literature world. I would be glad if these did close to what Twilight did and considering Twilight had an almost non-existing budget, it did pretty amazing.
So excited, The movie will never be as good as the book but I cant wait to see how it turns out. I' m keeping my expectation low for this movie cause I don't want to get disappointed !

Omfg...I hope they make it right. It is one of my favorite books and it is very well written, if they make a crappy movie out of it I don't know what I would do.Who in this world will be as sexy as Daemon and not be a Luxen?

I think it'd be better as a tv series also. I honestly see this being a failure like Beautiful Creatures and Twilight.
As much as I love when my series go up on the big screen, I always have this fear that Hollywood will fail us fans :( Some book series are just to good to become productions.

I always thought this would be a much better TV series! That way it could go on for longer, plus I could watch it every week... *little bit obsessed* anyway, I hope they get the right actors and actresses for the parts! Plus if Daemon and Dawson are pretty much identical twins they are either going to have to get one actor to play both parts or find identical twin actors...which might cut down the possibilities :O ahhh both nervous and excited!

I hope they dont ruin the book by making a bad movie...like what happened with the Twilight saga. They better get the movie right especially the cast, it would be utterly dissappointing if whoever plays Daemon Black does not do him justice!!

Well if they are getting damielle Campbell as Katy they cant do it as a tv series due to the fact that she is doing the originals and word is that she is playing katty

yah... i hate when girls will talk about the movies and say they know everything about and loved it but haven't read the books. i mean i don't mind if u don't want to read the book or will read it after the movie comes out but i hate they think they now everything about the movie and the characters and haven't read the books.
So excited for it to be a movie....but at the same time I'm terrified. 1. I know this is shallow, but the actor playing Daemon better be hot. If he's not tall dark and handsome with green eyes it'll totally ruin my image of him when I go back to read the books again :/
2. Every single scene in the book was amazing and I'm terrified that they're going to cut one out just because they it might not be "useful" or "relevant" to the plot.
3. SO scared all the funny things that're said between the characters are going to sound super cheesy in the movie or the effects are going to be super cheesy (City of Bones I'm looking at you)
4. Yes I'm a little upset that it'll probably become super popular and get a bunch of girls claiming they know every detail about it and nothing against them but...MY BOOK; GET YOUR OWN DAEMON

This movie needs really good effect and I don't think that budget of these movies are enough to make good effects. So there is a possibilty that they!ll ruin this books. Like Vampire Academy.
yes! like when they show Daemon go into his true luxen form they better have good effects.
I don't think this should be made into a movie because the effects wont be good enough. The mortal instruments is a fantastic series but was a horrible adaptation cause these sort of books just don't do well as movies unless they have a huge budget which never happens. Maybe a tv series but it's just not worth the heart break
yahh... i agree with you hannah ..... but it is also nice to imagine what the movie will turn out to be like.. and if it actually turns out good then 1. i would be shocked 2. i would be very happy that the obsidian series aren't ruined for me!

As for the cast I am hoping by some miracle it would be the cover model Pepe Toth himself!!!
that what i thought that they should put the cover models as the actors but then i was like what if they have no acting experience? then the movie would turn out bad.
