It's official... Movie...!!... Yea.... WTF????
I swear to god if this ends up like Twilight were they ruin the books with the movie I will go crazy!!This is my favorite paranormal series, its so well written<3
Of course I'm excited for the movie because this is one of my favorite books, but really, everyone is gonna read the book just cus the movie's coming out and then they're gonna start fangirling over Daemon ajkfhajksfhaksjf
I already have my perfect Daemon, James Maslow, I just love so much James, and since I started reading he was in my mind as the sexy Daemon Black.
best news ever!!!!!! I hope they don't start filming in two or ore years but like, NOW!
As long as they follow the book, I'll be happy. I think this is definitely a book that they can stick pretty close to (and not venture off into some other path). I'm super excited for this, and that more people will recognize how amazing an author Jen is :)

I think Ian Somerhalder would make an awesome person to play him. Oooh I love him so much !

I'm hoping for someone less well known to play Daemon so we (being me) don't start comparing him to other popular TV shows and movies that the actor has starred in.

I did NOT like Beautiful Creatures and I'm dreading Mortal Instruments (mostly because they didn't pick hotties). I'll probably die when they film The Fault in our Stars.
OMG! Im excited but like everyone else is saying I really don't want to ruin the book. But i hope they pick daemon right. I hope i doesn't end up like the mortal instruments where Jace was supposed to look hot and they cast a weird looking guy instead.....I really hope this goes well....

Same!! I hated Beautiful Creatures. I am going to cry when I watch the Mortal Instruments. (messed it up sooooo badly). Enders game is sad because they had to cut out the "scary/creepy" part or else it wouldn't be PG-13. I am scared for this movie because I am positive they will mess up the parts where they go on full alien mode. :(

I love the books and i cant wait to see the movie!!I know that its hard to turn a great book into a good movie, but look at city of bones, IT TURNED OUT GREAT!
I've seen the CoB movie, and i truly think it was pretty good!

I really hope they don't mess this up :/ I feel like all of my favorite book series are turning into movies. Where does that leave imagination?! I hope they don't ruin my image of Daemon and Katy. Especially during the really good scenes, oh wait... the whole book is a really good scene! Please don't mess it up!! :p

OMG! I can't believe Obsidian will become a movie! My wishes have came true but if they make this rubbish like twilight or kill it, its going to ruin me. They better get the right (meaning hot) people for the right characters or i'm not going to be very happy and they're going to have to answer to me!

I always thought in my head that daemon would look like a younger more teenage version of Ian somerhalden...now that would be my daemon young and HOT!
I really think that the movie will suck. I really, REALLY love this book but i don't want to see it be destroyed by them not finding the right Daemon and Katy, and what scene will be cut off. That would totally suck.I hope they would get the model in the cover bcause he is totally HOT!

This is exciting news! Has anyone heard anything about a release date?I do agree that it's going to be annoying to deal with the post-movie fans. But hey! It wasn't enjoyed by them first, we pre-movie fans are the reason there is going to be a movie. So really, they should thank us when The Lux becomes famous :)
Most of the YA book adaptations sucks these days so I cant even get excited about this. I mean I was like 'OMG' for a second when I heard there'll a movie but then I remembered how Hollywood always tries to make these kind of movies better by chancing too many things and we fans end up with a mess in the end :(OMG, choosing Daemon is gonna so be soooo hard

I'm so conflicted about this because I do like when books I love are turned into movies, but at the same time why mess with perfection?I'm just glad I read the book before the movie comes out!
I'm torn between loving the fact that it'll be a movie and hating the fact that it'll be a movie.By making it a movie, they better watch out because if they don't meet the expectations, they're going to have people hunting after them.
I think it would be better suited as a tv series but hey I am super excited! Though I am a little nervous. Especially if they choose the cast. Who will it be and will they be sexy enough O.O will they follow the books? We shall see

I think they still have to do casting, find a studio, and various other things so it is still in progress. Jennifer L. Armentrout said something about it still being a ways out for casting and all of that.

I am so excited that it is a movie, but I hope that the film adaption is not like Twlight film adaption at all.

Dear people who are making this movie, YOU BETTER NOT MESS THIS UP. This book is way too good. PLEASE don't make Daemon some ugly guy, choose someone at least alittle goodlooking. PLEASE don't choose actor\actresses that are grumpy and act like they don't want to be there. *cough* ( city of bones) *cough*. Thx. :)
