The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown is a must read in my opinion. I simply loved the way Brown kept his readers hooked till the end!

Most of his books are MUST READS.....:)

I would say Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro is a must read. It's tender and written in clear and simple language. A sort-of coming-of-age novel with a difference.
I don't think I mentioned
by Jhumpa Lahiri in this thread...was going through my books when I came upon this...it's beautiful!! A must read for everyone!

I personally think The Lord of the Rings is a MUST READ for every everyone. If you love fantasy and you are fed up dealing with reality everyday, LOTR is the book for you. Its absolutely an awesome series.

Ruchi, you are going to love The Fountainhead. No doubt about it. I had read it around 8 years back. It is a fantastic book.

Ruchi, I have request/suggestion regarding this thread. If it isn't too much trouble, could you add all the books, that are being recommended here, to the first post of the topic?I think it'll be easier for members to navigate through all the amazing books that have been suggested so far or will be suggested in future.
Crooked House by Agatha ChristieForbbiden by Tabitha Suzuma
Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
IronweedFall of Giants (even if it is a bit much on the soap opera side of things)
Philip Kerr's Berlin Noir Trilogy.
A LONG, LONG SLEEP! By Anna Sheehan. It's been ages since I've loved any book so much. A Long, Long Sleep I wrote a review on it if anyone would like to see exactly what I loved so much.
The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh and Last Days of Summer by a Steve Kluger are both fabulous reads
The Host by Stephanie Meyer! It's rather long but ohhh so good! Better than the movie & definitely a MUST READ.

They're both of the same tone as John Green's novels. As for The Book Thief, I think you'd enjoy The Outsiders or To Kill a Mockingbird as well, both are phenomenal.
A must read for me would be We are Not Ourselves, The Book Thief, To a Fault, and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe.

is a must read for all."Very much agree! One of the few books that I read in one sitting and it's a big read!
Also one of those rare stories I re-read occasionally.
I think From Fame to Shame is a MUST read because it's so adorable and it always crosses my mind. Also, Angelfall is another must read that I love :)

I agree with all the books you mentioned - they are amazing. Well, except Partials since I haven;t read it!

The language of Flowers; Close Your Eyes Hold Hands; The Last Days of Summer; The Nightingale and The Witch of Painted sorrows are some of my must reads
The Nightingale and Winter Garden both by Kristin Hannah. Both are historic-fiction set during the WWII time frame. The Nightingale follows 2 sisters in occupied France and how the cope with the occupation, and Winter Garden focuses on the Siege of Leningrad. IMO both are very powerful books.
