When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to Pandemonium, a club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder – much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know...

LOL yes i'm reading it too i'm so behind, i'm gonna catch up all day tomorrow.. i lost my kobo for a few days and turned out my mom took it, so i have it back now and i'm gonna read :) haha but i'm glad i'm not the only one

me too, the book is very interesting, i could sit there and read it for hours, it was hard to put it down at chapter 5

i love the story line so far, what do u like about it?

what do you like about it? What do you think about the characters? I am kinda confused as to how that demon got into her house with her mom.

I honestly haven't been diving into it as much. I am more surface reading it but loving it.

i love the story line, and the fact tht it is dealing with otherworldly creatures, i think clary is a very brave girl, and they said tht the door was unlocked, and it cpuld climb the wall, it could possibly open the door then

I know, I read that part I just don't understand how it could do that but I guess I will just have to keep reading to understand it. Honestly we probably should've read 6 chapters and discussed so we wouldn't have to keep coming back every five chapters.

Chapter 6 (view spoiler)[ So Madame DOrothea has something to do with Shadowhunting too? That is a big shock to me and I am not sure why it is. Luke really upset me and right now him and Clary's mom are my least favorite characters!! On to chapter 7 (hide spoiler)]

I can't believe that Clary went through the 5 dimensional door without even knowing if her mom had escaped through there or not. She isn't a very clever thinking character and that may come back to bite her later.But, that is just my theory. (hide spoiler)]

I thought that was kinda shady and then the blood that was found too. Gah I am loving this book! I wonder what Jace is going to do since his parents were murdered by those same people!
