The Elite question

I think that she is waiting because she is unsure of herself. She doesn't have much self-confidence. She doesn't think that she would make a good princess/ queen and is intimidated by the position. She is scared of being the center of attention. She let's her intimidation of the crown cloud her judgement and cloud her sure love of Maxon. And she still isn't used to the fact that Maxon is dating other people too. She is a little hurt by that, but she has to realize that that is how the selection works.

i am sorry. it's just that, how can she treat Maxon and Aspen like that? she has no right to get angry at Maxon for dating the other girls because she is also toying with Maxon's and Aspen's hearts.

I agree with Rachel. She's afraid of getting hurt, so to speak. She's unsure of herself, which fustrates me and I think Im also speaking for the fans of The Selection series. I think she's afraid of becoming Queen and that she might mess that opportunity up and she'll make a fool of herself.

I also agree with Vanessa. She cant blame Maxton for somthing he has to do. He has to "explore" his opportunities, I guess, so he can make sure he's choosing the correct person. Can you blame him. And she just needs to choose someone and get it over with! If she keeps that act up, someone is not going to end up happy. America especially. When, er, if Maxton finds out about Aspen, I wonder how that will go down.

i think that it's really important to remember that she's just a teenager and she's pretty inexperienced when it comes to life lessons and boys. i think that's the main reason why she's been so wishy washy and especially why we saw that in the Elite. I feel like she wasn't picking Maxon outright in the beginning because she wasn't sure of herself at all - because she didn't think that she could cut it - especially against the 2s and 3s that she was around. (and the beauties and talented ones). Then aspen came around and she probably wanted to go back to what was safe, but at that point, she started to see that there was a reason for her to be there. she had a decent friendship growing with Maxon and she was given tasks that she could see that she was capable of doing .

i think that The One will really show us how much she's grown and hopefully give us a better sense of things - where her relationship will take her and hopefully that she's more mature than your naive little teenager that she was when she came in.
