Do you think that Robots and Empire should have been bundled as the fourth book in the Robot Novels: (Caves of Steel, Naked Sun, Robots of Dawn) instead of being released with I, Robot?

Robots and Empire is a continuation of the Robot Novels in my mind as it follows some decades later but has all the same characters except of course, Elijah Baley who has long since passed on but his memory through Daneel and Giskard, and of course Captain DG Baley, Elijah Baley's descendant is very much in keeping with Elijah's personality.

I know the Robot Series has been fine with just the three books, but I can never stop there when reading the Robot Series. I always have to continue and read Robots and Empire to follow the rest of that part of the story with Daneel and Giskard and their desire to twart the evil ambitious plans of the top people at the Robotics Institute on Aurora.

Of course Daneel continues on into the Foundation Series....
