Shatter Me
question
Should this book be made into movie?

I VOTE NO!!!!! I love this series soooooo much. And I don't want some director to cast people to play my favorite characters( Warner, Adam, Kenji, Juliette). What if it turned out like The Host, I mean I like Max Iron but Saoirse Ronan, she's no what I picture Wanderer to be. And Beautiful Creatures, that is a most disappointing thing of the year. The story line is so good, but the characters. I mean WTF. Anyway, if Shatter Me is gonna be made into movies. I think Alexander Ludwig could be Warner. But still!!!!
What do you think Shatter Me fans out there?

NO! this book is tooo good to be made into a movie and i would however love to see this before my eyes i would hate to see the ruin the movie!!
Yeah I agree with Kristina up there. It was kinda slow and too poetic to be a film. I'm trying to talk myself out of reading the sequel myself- but it picked up at the end so I kinda really want to. Just think about how you FELT when you read this book and ask yourself "Would this sell?"
If feel like if they made Shatter Me into a movie they might mess it up so keep the books.
Looking back on the thread two years later, I say no. The pacing was very slow, they would have to combine all the books to make one movie, unless they made some major changes. I think it's better that this just stays a book.
YES YES YEEESSS!!! Plzzzzz, cast a movie over this book! I love this series and then watching a movie always makes it more appealing!
I vote no. The Shatter Me series have too much metaphors and words that are strewn beautifully together and I don't know how they're going to show that on the big screen.

i think yes but only if the book warms who have read this frontwards and backwards. that way nothing is lost. love this book
yes, but they definitely need to change some things. Like the Giver changed a lot! But like, since the target group for the film was teens, they had to change Jonas into 18 so the viewers could relate better.

I don't want a movie for this bookseries. There are some books, some series that shouldn't be turned into movies. I wouldn't see it. I wouldn't want my imagination of these people get tarnished by a movie. Perhaps it would've been different if I had seen the movie before I read the books, but as it is now I didn't. So my vote is no.
No, though a tv show might be ok. N one is going to make a movie out of this book... it's just not movie material. But I still enjoyed the book
Personally, I think they should make a movie for this book series. It was my favourite series and it was very well written. With the right cast and the right director they could make an amazing movie. I think Ryan Newman would be perfect for Juliette, Ansel Elgort for Warner and maybe Brant Daugherty for Adam.
see, girls. The rights of SM are already bought. in 2009, by the way. The book came out in 2011. So hell yeah i want a movie!!
I think the writing style makes this a very hard book to convert. The strike-outs are a very important way to really understand what is in Juliette mind. They are the real key to her mind. You can't get rid of them, and you can't put them in the movie (I think). So you would lose a lot.
In summery: No movie unless they can do something really good to convay the message of the strike-throughs

i'd vote for a movie, it's such a great thing ever to be limited for only a book. sometimes movies are disappointing indeed, but other times they could be epic, like TMI :D
with good actors, a good script and a good director it could actually be as good as the hunger games.
I don't know if any book SHOULD be made into a movie. It's a nice experience to see your favorite story on the big screen but then they really should try to make a good thing out of it.
As it could stand alone and still be awesome.
20th Century Fox already bought the film rights, though I think it's not really a sure thing that there is going to be a movie.
Cast suggestions: As for Juliette- maybe an unknown actress?
Adam and Warner is a really tough choice to make...
Alexander Ludwig would be an interesting Warner, though I'm not picturing him as that big and bulky.

Nope. The book was slow as hell and not much happened, which would be practically impossible to put on screen without making everyone fall asleep, don't you agree?
I vote No too. I just can't understand why should every book be made into a movie. It seems silly and unoriginal and waste of money.
every book should have a film... agree?
