Non-fiction about the concept of time and how it has developed through human history [s]

I believe this book was written within the last decade. It has a white cover with a clock on it with red arms or letters. It traces the concept of time from early human history through modern physics.

I read it and then gave it away. I want to read it again, but I can't remember the title. Any attempts to search for it inevitably lead to a barrage of Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time suggestions.

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

One thing you could do, Shannon, is find the book that seems closest (in content) at your library, and look through the bibliography / suggested further readings in the back of that book.
