Daniel just holds her close, knowing he couldn't leave.

((haha, I think he's figured it out))Daniel didn't want to wake her up, so he doesn't move. He eventually falls asleep with her.
When Shay woke up, her stomach grumbled.
Daniel had woken before her and was watching her."You hungry?" he asks softly
"Yes." Shay said asshe sat up.
Daniel stands up, unconsciously flashing his muscles "What would you like?"
Shay stared st him, then looked away. "Ahhh, pancakes."
Daniel smiles warmly at her, "Anything else?"
"Orange juice." Shay said, standing up.
Daniel watches her lips, mesmerized for a moment before he nods and goes to the kitchen.
Shay followed him, wondering how he knew her house.
Daniel starts cooking the pancakes, fixing them exactly how Shay liked them.
Ï have a question."Shay said, sitting on a stool.
"Then ask." Daniel says, finishing the pancakes.
"Have you been stalking me?"

"No." Daniel answers truthfully. He had been protecting her.((bye!))
"Then why do you know my house and what I like?" She asked.
"Because I've been watching you, protecting you." Daniel explains, then sets the pancakes and a glass of orange juice at the table she was sitting at.
Shay looked at him. "Why do I need protecting?"
"The, ah, person who kidnapped you is still after you." Daniel replies, almost saying man.
"Who, was he the guy you bashed last night?"
"Yes, he was trying to take you again." Daniel sits at the table across from her.
Daniel shrugs, "I have yet to figure that out. Are you going to eat?"
Shay smiled and ate some pancake. "Don't you need to eat?"
Daniel shrugs, "I can, but I don't have too." Crap, he hadn't meant to reveal that he wasn't human, she had reacted badly when he rescued her last year, finding out Jake was a bloodsucker.
"Hmm?" Shay asked.
"I'm not hungry." Daniel amends quickly, hoping she was too tired to notice his mistake.
"What was his name? That guy from last night?"
Daniel hesitates to tell her, then thinks she'd probably trust him more if he told her the truth. "Jake."
"Jake? Doesn't sound like a kidnapper." She took a sip of jusie.
Daniel shrugs, "Well, he did kidnapp you before so..."
"Why did he do it?" Shay asked.
"I'm not sure." Daniel admits.
((I find it funny how she trusts him so openly))
((lol, yep.))Daniel absentmindedly pulls off a bite of Shas pancakes and sticks it in his mouth.
Shay smiled.
Daniel smiles back reflexively.
When Shay was finished, she walked back to her room.
Daniel follows, thinking of leaving.
Shay had to smile. "I'm just having a shower."
"Okay, I'll leave then." Daniel says, turning to go out.
"You can stay, if you want." Shay yelled.
Daniel pauses, not sure if he should stay.
Shay stripped and ran the hot water.
Daniel sighs and sits on the couch. He had been tempted many timess to peek at Shay, but had never looked. He didn'y want ro disrespect her.
