Preston | 20148 comments If I could change one thing it would be to give everybody in the world a "happily ever after."

Preston | 20148 comments If I could change one thing I have Goodreads never exceed capacity, take responsibility for enforcing its own Terms of Service (ToS) and make everything work correctly 100 percent of the time.

Eric Westfall (eawestfall) | 386 comments I suspect you weren't thinking what I'm thinking you meant (or should have meant) when expressing a desire to give the whole world a "happily ever after."

Poor baby. You'd be sooooooooooo tired.

{snicker}

Well, it would only be males of course and age would be a consideration as well as sexual preference so that keeps the numbers more manageable.

Lori S. (fuzzipueo) | 2809 comments Now that's a bit unfair - where would be my "happily ever after"?!

message 6: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments I agree Lori. Isn't the above restriction rather like saying "Everyone deserves to be treated like equals as long as they agree with me"?

Hm, maybe I should start work on another thesis ...

No, I really think it's more like Preston was saying, with reference to his HEA endeavors (endeavours, I believe, for those of you on the wrong...er...other side of the Big Pond), "All human beings are created equal, but some men are more equal than others."

Which is, I suspect, every gay man's mantra, naturally substituting "man" for "human being" in the above sentence.

Actually it is just common sense. I am physically incapable of giving a HAE to a woman. I cannot provide a HEA for sexual minorities that are not into having sex men including lesbians. It would by definition not work for people, even gay males, who don't find me attractive or even decent looking.

So the it's not that I do not wish to give everyone equal treatment, it that my equipment fails with females, transvestites and transexuals. My equipment is not desired by everyone so it would not give a HAE for many from some F-M transgendered people to individuals who are asexual.

Also, I can't create a new topic without making a comment so actually I wasn't thinking so deeply along these lines. I just want every to find their own happiness in whatever makes them happy from stamp collecting to new technology to friends and family.

I was just trying to make Eric Alan Westfall happy by going along with his gag and snicker in message 3.

Boyd (boydwalker) | 2304 comments Isn't that sweet? Preston wants Eric Alan Westfall, author of The Song to have a HAE.

Why, I swan.

Dear sweet Preston, so kindly, so gentlemanly, so caring.

Only I must admit I am a wee tad confused, Boyd. Are you saying Preston wants me to experience an utterly relaxed, dare I say sated? (I dare, I dare) Happy After Everything his wonderfully wicked mind has planned, so that afterwards I can truly live (when I can finally move again, so puissant...not to be confused with pissant...Preston is) and do so Happily Ever After?

>snicker squared<

Eric

Poo sant and piss ant? Huh? Oh gee Rick I'm sorry but I don't think Preston is into scat and water sports/golden showers so perhaps he can't give you the kind of HAE you desire. :::silly::me::::

But as long as I'm commenting I should do the plug again and mention that Eric Alan Westfall is the author of The Song which you can read for FREE in PDF, Mobi, and ePub format at: http://www.mmromancegroup.com/?p=2856...

50,418 words

It distibulates me to tell you, Eric, that it's all done with mirrors… :)

Having read through the whole thread now and finally catching on to what was going on ... this my dear Preston is an example of an ace moment* when I totally misunderstood just what Eric Alan was saying in the first place! LOL

*I.E.: That my brain totally did not get the whole idea behind the HEA/HAE he was hinting at.

Eric Westfall (eawestfall) | 386 comments While Grace's comment is literally within the scope of this discussion, I respectfully request and suggest that that be the end of it. Political discussions tend to get rapidly vitriolic, and the discussions initiated by our moderators tend to have a humorous component to them even when the topic is serious or at least quasi-so. Despite my taking the Voltaire Pledge long, long ago (that whole "defend to the death" bit), there's a time and a place...no, I'm not breaking into song here despite my penchant for quoting/using lyrics...for everything. And this ain't the place for politics.

Just my USD .02.

Actually, that's not ever relevant to your "if" is it?

That's not allowed! Robin Williams said so, therefore it must be true! :P

If the genie grants you wishes... best wish the genie be free.
