I must be the only one who doesn't like Sykes personality. He comes off like a jerk and I've never found that sort of humor funny.
Also, I didn't care for his story in Dangerous Women.

You don't come off like a jerk to me, just a bit excitable. Damn kids.
All you guys and your ARCs. Before long you'll have your own little elite group to discuss everything you read ahead of us common folk.

It wouldn't surprise me if he's a great guy, but every interview I've seen with him has rubbed me the wrong way. His sense of humor always comes off as mean spirited to me.

And of course there is Joe Hill.

I would be more interested in reading his completed series.

Maybe for me too.
Anyone interested in reading Assail? If not I will probably jump into it next week.

I hope to do a big re-read once Erikson and Esslemont are all done.

Yeah, who I only recently learned was Stephen King's son.
I'm in for LotR after we finish Harry Potter as I have those in audio as well.
If you are careful about spoilers, I'd probably do Black Prism, but if you want to do it as a reread I'm not since I haven't yet.

This sounds good to me.

Someone needs to read Under the Dome with me, or I'll never get to it. This club keeps eating up my time..

It's a good read. I won't do a re-read, but I read it recently enough that I should be able to join in the conversation.

I do want to give him a try..but I'm kind of swamped right now.
December 1st *might* work. But I'm not sure. It will depend on a few things.

The next few months are always crazy because I travel a lot. So I have a long stretch of audio book time, then little to no audio book or reading time, then another long stretch of audio.
I'm well over my reading goal for the year, and I know at least today I'll be taking the day off from reading.
The new WoW expansion comes out next month and I decided to buy it, so I may take up gaming again for a little while. I haven't been doing much gaming since I quit last year.
Also the remake of Gabriel Knight 1 comes out today, so I plan to be playing that. Possibly all week instead of reading until we start The Black Prism.
Plus there will be the S&L Nov/Dec picks, the rest of the HP reread and whatever I end up reviewing for SFFAudio.
I guess the TLDR would be, I'm stressing about free time atm, and don't count on/worry about me in your planning. lol.

I have read PSS and it was a mind blowing experience.I loved it so much that I read Scar the next book in this series after PSS.Currently I am reading Iron council last book in bas lag series.I am definitely up for a Mieville read of embassy town. Also I have heard his other works Kraken and king rat are amazing.

I listened to it on Audio, and while the quality was excellent as always, the narration was not my bag.
The whole thing was just to weird for me.
But i know i am in the minority. As you may have guessed, i will be skipping this one :)

Not to detract from the thread too much but what position are you interviewing for?
Why am I going to ban you? You're discussing a new group read and sorting out logistics about said read, what am I missing?

Oh, yeah try to keep that sort of thing to a minimum in general, but I won't start scolding people unless it starts running on a bunch of posts.

I'm really into the series and wondering if anyone else has read it."
I am just finishing the third book in the series - it is a good series and so far I've liked it more with every book.
