I'm always up for Harry Potter. I've been reading the Tor HP reread posts so now I kind of wanna do if too.
I'm in for HP reread. Can we do Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages also? I have both but havn't got around to them yet. I think they are both around 50 pages. Also does the Lord of the Rings read include The Hobbit?

I have that audio book too, so I would consider it. But S&L read that 12/12 so I've read that more recently than LotR books which I haven't done since college.

You can if you want to, but I won't be able to make a real commitment until late summer/early fall most likely.
Both. I'm tied up for months right now apart from what's already on the club's schedule. Plus we're supposed to do a LotR re-read at some point too.
But if you all find a time a works for you, go for it. I just re-read it not too long ago so if I miss out It's not a big deal. I can make a section for it and add the books with whatever dates you decide on.

Hmm. I missed your Sept 1st suggestion. That's probably good for me too actually. I'll just work the LotR read around that and whatever else may be coming out this fall.

Alright. I'll add Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for Sept 1. Are people wanting to read them all back to back. If so, how much time for each?
1 week each for 1&2, 2 weeks each for the rest?

I think that makes sense. The first two are very quick reads.
I'm definitely in on Half a King.
Excellent! I'm pretty excited about it. I've heard a lot of good things so far (granted a lot of that is from Abercrombie retweeting stuff). The io9 excerpt was great.
I have Best Served Cold on my Kindle to read and The Heroes in print I have yet to read. I grew to really love him as The First Law trilogy went on.
Its moved up my to read list after doing Honor Among Thieves, but right now I'm not sure when I'd fit in time.
You don't need to read it. My friend does just about every star wars book, and he told me I could skip it.
It's the only star wars book I've read and had no trouble following it. But since you're already reading it, it's moot.

I'm really looking forward to the next Expanse series novel. Glad to set others are interested in reading it.

It's The Heroes for me. Everything I love about Abercrombie AND Epic Fantasy combined in one novel.

Best Served Cold was good, but not great. I won't be reading it again anytime soon. I plan to do The Heroes at some point this year as I already own the ebook.
What about reading the new Trudi Cavanan book: Thief's Magic? It looks to be a cracking read, and I can highly recommend her other series:The Age of Five
Priestess Of The White
Last of the Wilds
Voice Of The Gods)
Black Magician trilogy
The Magicians' Guild
The Novice
The High Lord
I listened to The Emperor's blades earlier this year and enjoyed it. I would hop in on discussion for that if people wanted to read it, but I won't read it again so soon.
I have blackbirds too, but I'm too busy to want to read it right now.

I really enjoyed The Emperor's Blades and would discuss as well. I'm still hoping this group does Blood Song.
I still have the whole of the Black Magician Trilogy in my Audible library. I managed to collect every one from various sales over a year but haven't listened to a single one yet.

WoS was good, but I didn't care much for the sequels myself.
I think I own Black Prism. I plan to read it eventually.

S. wrote: "Ha thats it the black magician trilogy..that was my last read of fiction and ever since that cant find the time to read any.."Good series though. The follow up's ok, but I think the final book lets it down slightly...
Traitor Spy Trilogy (Follow up series to the Black Magician)
The Ambassador's Mission
The Rogue
The Traitor Queen
I don't have time to read thief's magic. Or at least not the whole thing. Skin Game comes out in 12 days and that is a drop everything book for me.
I can add it for you guys though.

I really liked the Jim Dale ones though. It would be interesting to compare the two.
