I have some German ones lined up, but after that I'll be trying to catch up on Uhtred, so I won't join you guys for now. (As usual....)

I finished the series recently (at least, all the books that have been published by Cornwell). Enjoyable and worth the read/listen.
I think I own all the books he's published so far..but I was waiting for the group to continue our read.
Heya Rob - I just noticed Scott Meyer has another book coming out this month on June 20th (Not in the Off to Be the Wizard Series) - Run Program. Anyone interested?
Rob wrote: "I'm potentially interested, but it may depend on if/when there is an audiobook version."Speaking of which, do you know if the last Off to be the Wizard only released on audio? I couldnt find a kindle version.
I believe it's audio only for 6 months. I thought that was weird but I do enjoy the audio versions anyway.
Suzanne wrote: "I believe it's audio only for 6 months. I couldn't find the reason why it was audio only for 6 months (I didn't look all that hard.) But I was really disappointed because I don't do audio and I was looking forward to that book. Oh well, not like there's not a shit ton of things to read lol.
Is anyone else going to read the new Anthony Ryan book coming out tomorrow?
I think we read the first one as a group.
I'm listening to it right now. I got another review copy so I jumped right in as soon as I finished my last book. I'd be up for discussing it.
There is a new reader though. He's not bad, but I'm always annoyed when they change it.

I'm finally caught up with Uhtred, so whenever we want to start the next one - I'm ready. Just saying.
So we've hit an unusual point of having zero upcoming reads. Normally we have a few release day reads scheduled out in advance and we fill in with older more spur of the moment stuff as we go.
What new releases are still on people's radar for this year?
I suspect at least a few of us will do Oathbringer (11/14/17). What else?
Some others on my radar:
The Stone Sky - 8/15/17
The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter - 12/1/17
Persepolis Rising - 12/5/17
The Infernal Battalion - 1/9/18
There is a huge gap after next month's Stone Sky until Sanderson in November. I can't imagine there is nothing coming out in September/October I'm interested in.

A couple that I'm interested in.Deadhouse Landing by Ian C. Esslemont - 8/10
The Core by Peter V. Brett - 10/3
The Fall of Dragons by Miles Cameron - 10/19 - depends on me getting books 3 and 4 done.
To be honest I have soured on new releases and am much more interested in completed series.
I have all the ones you listed on my "read asap" list, except for Oathbringer. I looked through the September/October goodreads lists and didn't see anything. Weird.
I've been MIA for awhile, but I'm back now! If you schedule reads for The Stone Sky, The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter, Oathbringer, and The Core, I'd love to join in. Some other September/October reads I am interested in are:
An Unkindness of Magicians by Kat Howard
Provenance by Ann Leckie
Rob wrote: "WB Christina. I might be in for Provenance."Thanks! Looking forward to more great discussions :)
I'm a maybe depending on when we do it. Right now I'm behind on a bunch of stuff in audio due to Wheel of Time and I'm not really reading anything in text. I've tried a few times, but I just keep falling asleep or blowing it off.
I can start them next week or 3 months from now doesn't make a difference to me. Just want to be able to discuss them. I have a huge queue for audiobooks but will slip them in whenever they fit everyone else's schedule.

Rob, when would you be able to do it? 1st of September works for me but don't want to leave Rob behind if there is only a few of us doing it.
I don't know exactly. Sometime in September should work. It may depend on the sword and laser pick though. I have at least two books to listen to after my current one. Maybe 3.
If you don't want to wait that long, no worries.

I'm flexible. I rarely plan too far ahead so I can generally fit books into my schedule. We'll see what Sumant has to say.
Thanks. Hope you can squeeze it in. Can you also make a folder? I'll make a general discussion post and see if we can draw anyone else in.
It should have made a folder already when I added it. It just won't show up until you make a post. You should be able to pick it from the drop-down when you create a new thread.
My library got a copy of The Book of Swords another in the line of rogues and dangerous women books edited by Gardner R. Dozois. Anyone else plan on reading? It has a really great lineup of authors. If people are interested I was thinking of making a thread for each short story. Thinking I might do 1 a day as my ebook reading has really slowed.
I was hoping to pick that up at some point. I just don't know when though. My library always seems slow on new releases.
I will probably only read a few stories. I learned my lesson from Dangerous Woman. I'd be up for discussing the ones I do read though.
