Did anyone else get a little emotional when he said goodbye to Trapis? I'm not usually one for crying while reading, maybe it's just that most of the books i read aren't particularly emotional ones. Not sure what it is about this one, i even welled up a little when i looked back to check which chapter it was in. Such an emotional moment, Trapis was such a saint.

I hope we hear more of Trapis. I haven't met many characters like that - so completely selfless. And we barely even really saw him!

Often when I'm reading books and I find a good character being left behind, I can't help but imagine just one more scene for them. In this instance, I pictured Trapis finding a new youngster to take over Kvothe's hiding place on the rooftop. :)

I'm sure he will make a reappearance but I'm thinking it might be in maybe the third book that hasn't come out yet. It would be great to see Kvothe return to him as an adult and help him create a better hospice for the kids.

His farewell to Trapis was sad. Trapis showed he really cares for the children when he still recognized Kvothe.
What a difference between Trapis and the other priests who arrested Skalpi.

Yeah, speaking of Skalpi -- when they mentioned him in the beginning (with Chronicler), I assumed he would be a major character. I was surprised to see him disappear so quickly. I wonder if he'll show up at the University?

I feel like he is going to be a more prominent character later down the line somewhere. And I love your little Trapis fantasy =)
