All three Beatles were working and writing with lots of different musicians by 1969. George went on a short tour with Delaney and Bonnie. From this tour he picked up the interest in playing slide guitar.
George also shared guitars with other playes, like the tele that he used for the "Let It Be" sessions, then was used in the rooftop concert which he later gave to Delanie as a gift after playing with him.
