Found another version of my book

While i was trying to change the book cover as i have a new one (and i cant because i'm not a librarian) i came across another entry for Rising Dawn ISBN 1484117549. I cant combine because my name appears as E I Jennings. Can you help me with this?

Please note that you are NOT permitted to change covers. If you have a new cover please add an Alternate Cover Edition and then switch that NEW edition to "primary" so that it shows first.

I'm sorry but I am aware that I can't change my book cover without listing my book again. As for the other random book i have drifting about i have no idea what ur trying to say. I can't seem to merge it because my author account is DIFFERENT. Like i said im sorry i'm being thick but i'm new to goodreads and not exactly computer friendly. I have only ever asked for one author account to be set up but i now appear to have two. If it's a non librarian fix i'm also sorry but the links ur showing me mean nothing to me

Some import feeds bring in the author data incorrectly. The combine/merger request is for the author profiles :) It's nothing you have done wrong at all - just something that needs a High Up to fix (Librarians can only fix profiles that authors haven't claimed).

The first link is because some authors prefer to keep tabs on their request, others are fine leaving it as internal "Stuff". It's a non-Librarian fix, but one which is still dealt with within this area, so you asked in the right place, don't worry!

Once the Author merge is sorted we will sort out what is going on with the floating edition.

Last two links are just to guide you (and any other authors who might stumble on this) on what to do now you have a new cover - the instructions on the first link go through how to add the new edition, second covers how to switch a 'Primary' edition so that the new cover shows first when users search. If you've got this sorted already, you can just ignore them for now.

It is common when books are imported into GR that the initials on don't come over exactly correct. That is why there is another profile.

I have edited the book so it should be on your profile.
