If isn't in the search it probably already reach it's quota and was taken out of the site to request.

Tris | 678 comments @Deyse Oh ok thanks!

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments I haven't had much luck with Read Nows Tris and all the ones I did like have been archived now. I can advise against a few though. Don't try: Brave (The 12 NA's of Christmas) by Zoe Dawson Riot by Sarah Mussi Thief (The Scarab Beetle #1) by C.L. Stone John Dreamer by Elise Celine they were so bad!!

There's Ever Shade (A Dark Faerie Tale, #1) by Alexia Purdy which I didn't really enjoy but it might suit some peoples that like that sort of thing.

There are upcoming buddies for In the Mirror by Kaira Rouda Disconnected by Lisa M. Cronkhite Adaptation (Adaptation, #1) by Malinda Lo as well if you are interested.

Apparently they did 500 'read now' copies, and then took it down. I think they went pretty quick unfortunately.

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments Dangerous creatures went quickly. I got the email at 3.05pm and they were gone by 4.10pm!

It was actually the first time i got one of those emails on time!

message 807: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (manka23) | 2337 comments Does anyone else ever get a couple approvals from one publisher and then go on a liking spree of that publisher? I do this, and then I get everything I want, just making my r2r stack higher and higher...

message 808: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments I do that all the time, haha.

message 809: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90956 comments Mod
Yes. I do that. I thought this challenge would help me get my r2r list down, but I've gained so many books in the last 2 weeks that it's monstrous!

message 810: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (manka23) | 2337 comments I'm so glad I'm not the only one. We're just going to be forever reading review copies.

message 811: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90956 comments Mod
Yep! It's even worse when you get a pre-approval. It's like OMG, I just got 10 books. Pre-approvals are like cocaine for readers though, it's like christmas come early ☺

message 812: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (manka23) | 2337 comments YES! I don't have any pre-approvals as of yet. But I have publishers who accept me every time.

message 813: by Dana (new)

Dana | 887 comments does anyone know if you can still submit feedback after a book has been archived?

message 814: by Tris (new)

Tris | 678 comments @ Rachel & Sarah Thanks so much!

message 815: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Dana wrote: "does anyone know if you can still submit feedback after a book has been archived?"

I'm pretty sure you can! However, you eventually won't be able to. Sometime (I don't know how long) after the book is archived, the book is taken down.

message 816: by Dana (new)

Dana | 887 comments Well one of the books that I had reviewed just got archived and it still had the " give feedback" button, it just said you can no longer download the title. I had already given feedback for the title though, so I didn't bother seeing if I could still send feedback.

The reason I was wondering about all this is because I have a book that is going to be archived soon but I don't know if I will be able to read it in time.

Dana wrote: "does anyone know if you can still submit feedback after a book has been archived?"

Yes you can. Go to the little drop.down menu where you have the option to see your profile, and instead choose 'activity', this should bring up a list of titles.you've been approved for. On the right is another drop down menu, use this to select 'archived', find the title you want and click it, and you'll go to the books page where you can give feedback ☺

Publishers give out auto approvals to people who they are happy with - so if you live in the right country, always do your reviews on time, have a good following etc. There's no way to know when you'll get an auto approval or who from, you just have to keep your percentage up and keep submitting your reviews and eventually you'll get one ☺

I've got a few ☺ My favourite is HarperTeen on Edelweiss. Every time they upload new books my r2r pile spikes!

I was really shocked to get it. They gave them out to loads of bloggers last september time. I was so jealous! then they gave it to me! I think I must have been one of the last to get it. It was so exciting though!

I can imagine! I would be so happy if that happened to me. I try and stay on top of my review pile but they keep approving more and more books and I am getting behind! :(

I keep getting approved for more too. It gets worse when you get review copies of books that are third in a series and you've haven't read the first two though. you end up having to add three books to your r2r pile, so get a few of those, and it really adds up!

Wow, that would be hard to keep up with! I make sure that I don't request sequels because of that very reason but I can see the appeal of it! :)

When a publisher 'auto-approves' you on netgalley or edelweiss. It means that when you click 'request' for that publishers books, you are automatically approved and can download the book without having to wait for them to approve you ☺

Oh wow, that's a good haul!! I want to read (and wanted to request) most of them but I refrained myself because I hadn't ready any of the previous books. :(

message 835: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90956 comments Mod
I was auto-approved for some of them, and I had the first books in the series so I thought I might as well read them. I did read some of the first books before requesting or downloading the second ones though. I really disliked Arclight (Arclight, #1) by Josin L. McQuein so I was super glad I hadn't downloaded the second one.

message 836: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53702 comments Mod
Yeah I tried to read Arclight, but I got really bored and confused. Didn't explain anything, and it was just about her love life. :/

message 837: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53702 comments Mod
And alright thanks for the explanation! Does it happen with publishers, or only a few books?

message 838: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90956 comments Mod
It's a publisher. so if you get auto-approved for say harlequin teen, all their books will be auto approved if you request them.

I hated arclight. it felt about a million pages long, and you're right - nothing was explained.

Dana | 887 comments I already have a hard time keeping up with netgalley, im too afraid to even log on to edelweiss lol. Also good to know about the feedback, I was in a bit of a panic.I try to read them all in a timely fashion but its not always possible.

message 841: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90956 comments Mod
If you've been approved for the book you can pretty much submit feedback forever. I've still got one on there that I didn't download from 2012 that I could review if I ever get around to reading it!

message 842: by Tati (new)

Tati Gaaah! I hate DRM! Got approved for two DRM books, and I can't send to my Kindle. Do the publishers expect me lug my computer everywhere so I can read those books?

Your request to view The Inventor's Secret from Penguin Young Readers Group. Thank you for your interest in this title! Unfortunately we have hit our e-galley limit for this title.

Why am I not surprised?

I have Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout The One Safe Place by Tania Unsworth & Tell Me Again How a Crush Should Feel by Sara Farizan all of which don't have kindle options ☹

I refused to read Nil by Lynne Matson because it didn't have a kindle option, so then got a copy myself once it was released and figured I'd still do the review. Shouldn't have bothered because the book was pants!
