If you loved Cinder, you need to read Scarlet. It is even better!

message 135: by Sophie (new)

Sophie I finished Shadow and Bone!

I liked it, but I keep trying to decide if it's a 3 star or 4 star read. It was fun and catchy, but at the same time there were some flaws (mostly in terms of the Russian culture as well as the world development) that really stood out to me. But I'm glad I read it! I am reading the sequel right now.

I will read Between Shades of Gray next!

message 136: by Sophie (new)

Sophie I finished Shades of Gray!

I liked it. I thought it was touching and it was an aspect of WW2-era Europe that I knew a bit about but hadn't read much about.

I'm going to take a bit of a break before reading/finishing Angelfall :)

message 139: by Robin (new)

Robin (robinpickell) | 1298 comments Tracy - Update #1 The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole , finished.

I gave it 3 1/2 STARS, but I did find the story very HOT & I liked the paranormal mythology Kresley Cole uses. But then, there is so many different ones, lol. At first I gave it 4 STARS, but I decided to be honest. I would like to continue the series, but it is not pressing & I do not think I will buy the series, nor will I re-read them after the first time.

message 144: by Robin (new)

Robin (robinpickell) | 1298 comments Tracy, here is Update #2: Introductions (The Academy, #1) by C.L. Stone , 5 STARS!. Drool worthy.

I loved this book and I am sure I will continue to love the series.
I am already reading the second book in the series First Days (The Academy, #2) by C.L. Stone & it's not even planned for this month! My only issue is I don't know who to route for! Seven, count them, 7 HOT, kind, caring and highly protective guys (seriously, I think these guys took a course in "How to be a Knight in Shining Armor"/"How to be a True Gentleman") & 1 girl! All of them are amazing and who am I suppose to choose is the best pairing?!

I highly recommend it if you would like to check it out & the first one in the series is currently .99c for the kindle! Thank you so much for picking this one for me.

message 145: by Robin (new)

Robin (robinpickell) | 1298 comments Tracy - last & final update!: Rewrite Redemption by J.H. Walker - 4 STARS

I enjoyed it & look forward to the next one in the series. My only question is who is the second one going to feature.

So, thank you for all of your picks Tracy! I highly enjoyed all 3 of them.

I can't believe it's been so long since I've read her last! Thanks for the push! I also started The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde but had to return it (it downloaded weird) and haven't gotten it back yet, but it's pretty good so far :)

message 149: by Sophie (new)

KimeyDiann I didn't finish Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter yet. I had a lot of trouble getting into it. I'm close to being finished, but I missed the Augst 31 deadline for this challenge.
