please delete cover

I don't understand why I'm listed as a Librarian, yet it says only Librarians can delete covers when I try to delete mine. I need the cover deleted for "Partay!!" This book is unpublished and I own the rights to this cover. I want it down. Can one of you do that please?

You are not a librarian. Only Librarians can delete covers. We can look at the book.

Well it has been published 2012 and we do not remove covers of published books. Doing so can cause us to loose our Librarian status. This is a cataloging website. If there is any legal reason for the cover to be put down you can contact support and explain to them what is the case. We cannot do anything.

If there is another edition with a new cover we can add it and you can change the default edition. If you tel us WHY you want it down we might be able to come up with a solution, but as I said, we don't have the right to delete anything that has been published.

I don't know when I changed from being a Librarian to just an Author, but I guess it's okay.

That book is unpublished--it is not published anywhere, nor do I want it to be. I own the cover and the copyright and I'd like it down, so I am giving you permission to do that, but since it would cause you to lose your Librarian privilege, I'll contact support as you suggested. Do you happen to have a link to the branch of support I should contact?

There is no new addition of this book, nor will there be.

You haven't changed. Everyone can be a Librarian by adding books, but Goodreads Librarians (the ones that can also edit books) have to apply and be approved. Authors are not given this status, so they cannot delete their own books ;]

P.S. If you add a lot of books under the user profile picture it will say "#30 top librarians" but not "Goodreads librarian", which will be visible only for the approved Librarians
