Hi everyone! I will be self-publishing my first novel soon. I have very little money to work with. I am looking for someone willing to edit and format my novel for free. You will receive credit for the work on the copyright page and will be thanked in the acknowledgements. My novel is 40,000 words. It requires basic proofreading and copy editing. Then it needs to be formatted as an e-book with a copyright page, hyperlinked table of contents, the text of my novel and then an authors bio with an embedded photograph and outside links. Please contact me if you are interested.

James (jameslwilber) | 13 comments I would be willing to do a cut & paste job into Scrivner and compile epub and mobi files for you. You should consider getting Scrivner yourself. it's only $40 and it does most of the work for you.

Hi James, that sounds awesome! I downloaded the Scrivener trial, but it expired. I will have to purchase it after I release my novel. However, my novel does need polishing before it can be formatted. :)

I do not even know how to do that, but sure, I would not mind if you put an ad for your books in the back of mine in Scrivener. We have very similar taste. :)

James (jameslwilber) | 13 comments Once you get it all edited, send me the the book and the cover and I'll run it through Scrivner for you.

I will send you the book and the cover once it is edited. Please let me know if you know anyone who would be willing to edit my novel free of charge. It requires very basic proofreading and copy editing. This would be ideal for a high school or college student interested in pursuing a career in editing, proofreading, or publishing.
