"Good. You?" He asked her.She nodded sheepishly. "A little." She said to him.
"Good for the last part," she said. He smiled, getting out plates. "Come get some then."
He nodded. "What happened?" He asked her.She nodded and took a plate. "It smells delicious." She said to them.
"Nightmare," she said. "One of the bad ones."He made himself a plate then got everyone cutlery. "You should taste it then."
"You have them often?" He asked her.She smiled and fixed herself a plate then went and sat next to him.
She nodded. "Every night."He started eating.
"Oh my god... Why?" He asked her.She began as well. "Wow, this is delicious!" She exclaimed after finishing her first bite.
She looked away. "I don't know."He smiled between bites. "It's my grandma's recipe."
"Is it because of him?" He asked her.She was left-handed so she bumped elbows with him a few times. "Oh, I'm sorry." She said sheepishly.
"He's just the worst of it," she said. He chuckled, thinking it was cute. "It's okay."
"I'm so sorry." He said to her.She blushed slightly "I can move." She offered.
"It's okay," she said. He shook his head. "You don't have to. I don't mind."
He hugged her softly.She nodded. "Let me know if it's bugging you though." She said to him.
She hugged him back. He nodded and kept eating. "Alright."
"I want to help." He said softly.She finished up. "What you you like me to do with my plate?" She asked him.
"How?" she asked. "Put it in the sink," he said. "Me and Sarah will do them later."
"I don't know but I will." He said to her.She nodded. "Okay." She said, and put it in the sink.
She kissed his cheek. "Thank you."He put the dishes in the sink. "What do you wanna do?"
He smiled. "It's no problem." He said to her.She shrugged. "Anything." She said to him.
"Let's go eat breakfast," she said. "There's this little cafe nearby that's delicious.""There's a stream nearby," he said.
"Alright." He said with a smile.She looked at him. "Sure." She said with a smile.
She stood and got her money again.He smiled and offered her his arm.
"I can pay." He said, even though he didn't have much.She blushed slightly and took his arm.
"It's okay," she said. "You've already done more for me than you think, this is the least I can do."He led her outside, giving her his coat when she started shivering.
"Oh, alright." He said to her."Thanks." She said kindly. She was still only wearing his shirt.
She led him down when he was dressed. He led her to the guest house. "There's a fireplace in here."
He followed her down.She nodded and stayed close to him for heat. It got cold at night.
She led him inside a tiny cafe, where the waitress got them menus and led them to a table on the roof. He lit a fire and wrapped his arms around her.
"This is nice." He said to her.She blushed deeply and leaned into him.
She nodded. "It definitely is.""Is this okay?" he asked.
He smiled and pulled the chair out for her.She nodded. "Of course." She murmured.
She blushed and sat down. He took a hand-knitted blanket off the nearby couch and draped it around them.
He tucked her in and sat down across from her.She smiled and leaned into him comfortably. "I hope you don't plan on cutting my hair again." She teased softly.
She started looking through the menu.He chuckled. "I don't think playing with your hair counts as cutting it."
He looked as well.She blushed. "You plan on playing with my hair?" She asked him softly.
She quickly found out what she was going to eat, so she looked out at the lake.He nodded. "Of course," he whispered. "You didn't notice I already am?"
He figured it out as well and ordered.She looked and saw him, smiling. "Oh. Well you are allowed to do that." She said softly.
She ordered too, not moving her eyes.He smiled a bit. "I could get used to this."
"What's wrong?" He asked her softly.She smiled. "Me too..." She said happily.
She sighed. "You really want to know?" He gently pulled her closer.
He nodded. "Yes I want to help." He said to her.She leaned in closer.
She sighed and told him everything about how her parents neglected and ignored her, how the staff weren't much better, and how bad her fiance really was with her.He wrapped the blanket around them a bit tighter. "I'll carry you home if you fall asleep," he murmured.
He shook his head at the end. "I am so sorry, I can't believe you have to deal with that. You don't deserve it." He said to her.She nodded, her eyes already fluttering shut. She felt so peaceful in his arms.
She looked down when he said that last part. "Sometimes I think I do..." she whispered. He tried to stay awake. It almost felt like a crime to move her since she looked like she didn't want to leave.
He took her hand. "Why?" He asked her.She had fallen asleep peacefully.
She shrugged. "Years of hearing it."He lifted her into his arms, walking to the door and opening it carefully. If she didn't want to leave he would let her stay overnight.
"Dear lord... What have you done to them? That's horrible." He said to her.She woke up slightly and looked up at him. "I don't want to go..." She murmured.
"When I told you living in a castle isn't so great, I meant it," she said. "Want to stay here?" he murmured, going back inside and closing the door. "You can stay in the guest house."
"That's so horrible, I'm so sorry." He said to her.She nodded sleepily, holding onto him tightly.
He and his sister quickly finished dinner. "Are you hungry?" he asked.
